Local bike shop, doesn't have a lot of MTB's, seems to be mainly for on-road. Very hard to find parking.

Shop Summary:
Great stock levels, wide selection of products and a good cross section of prices.

Customer Service:
From the very first time I came into the shop I received exceptional service. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable & patient in answering all my questions. Rob was just wonderful in helping me, he organized for everything I wanted to be attached to the bike. He was very courteous, professional & made me feel very welcomed. It is so hard to find exceptional customer service but at The Bike Barn that's the norm. The atmosphere in the shop is such that you don't want to leave. Every staff member is just wonderful, they have an excellent attitude & a friendly demeanour. I highly recommend them. I was so impressed with them that I bought 2 bikes even though I only planned to buy one for my son. It was a win/win situation.

Shop Summary:
Bought my bike there which turned out to be a bit big for me only to find out later. I should have picked up the 'bad vibes' before I paid the money because when I asked about the material of the frame whether it's 60605 or 7075 aluminium and the 'boss' answered 'are you a metalergist or something?'

Anyway, I only bought the bike there because they entice me with very heavy discount, didn't have a lot of known brands except Norco.

Customer Service:
I think Geoff is the owner there, I find he is very intimidating towards customers and try to sell you something just because he had a lot of racing experience and whatever you say cannot be right because he was the racer who won a few trophies?!

After I bought the bike and when they preparing it, he seems to regret giving me the discount and try tokeeptaking away freebies that his other salesperson willingly tothrow in such as drink bottle cage and drink bottle. They are only of cheap quality and I don't really want them but how can you renag on deals made and every bike I bought before all came with free drink bottle and cage.

Went back a week later bought some other stuff, offered big discount again but as I added more items, the discount keep shrinking, typical backyard merchant just try to grab your money and run.

Later on I try to go back and talk to him about may be I got the wrong size bike and it was the most unpleasant 20 min I ever spent in my life which I cannot get back. I was practically scolded for almost everything and every parts that I changed like the pedal and grip. Not only that, he even tried to sell me a smaller frame if I choose to go smaller.

Other Comments:
Bottomline, very bad store and promised the world but can't even do the basic right and can only entice customers on price and he doesn't even remember your name after he sold you the bike.
