Bike Bros.

Bike Bros. goal is to help people get the most out of cycling. The owner started working in bike shops in 1986, has raced BMX, competed in freestyle competitions(Canadian Ramp champion, King of vert finals...), raced XC mountain bikes, trains on a road bike etc.

The shop is built around loving bikes, loving riding and wanting to help as many people feel the love as possible. The shop is based in Cochrane, Alberta yet many bikes are sold to people from Calgary who feel that special something - the shop is not a bike selling factory, it is more like a 1 on 1 match-making facility - helping people find their perfect bike!

Helping a new rider find a perfect entry level bike is as important as selling a $4000 bike to a seasoned vet. Every level, every rider deserves and gets the attention necessary to find the perfect bike or have their bike serviced to performance perfection.

Look for the Bike Bros van or Bike Bros Element when you go riding - chances are its at the same skatepark, trailhead, race, coffee shop you go to. They ride the same places you do - they understand what works.

Shop Summary:
Strong shop in Cochrane, built on the fundamentals of patience, understanding and top-notch customer service. Old school values still kick ass.

Customer Service:
TOP customer service! Mike and Graham give honest advice about what works and what doesnt, without ANY attitude. Unlike some shops were the staff expect you to put them on a pedestal, or are condescending in a snide way, the bike bros are patient and generous with their time. If you're confused or bewildered when you walk into a shop, then head out to Cochrane for a low key experience.

Other Comments:
Incredible mechanics. I've wrung out my bike with some hard riding, and all year, Mike and Graham have backed up their 1 year service warranty with a smile. They fix and tune my bike and definitely go the extra mile to make sure it works well. Also, they don't mind showing you how to do stuff on your own... and sharing the tricks of the trade to keep things running smooth.

Shop Summary:
I have a local ripper buddy that recomended that I check out Bike Bros. I am very meticulous by nature so I googled them and WOW there web site is not just another regurgitation of some manufacter's web information or just links. Bike Bros spent the time to build a web site that is actually helpful and is what people who need to research are seeking. That was my experience without visiting the actual shop. Once it came around to an actual visit all of my hopes and dreams were fofilled. At last a shop with real knowledgable people who care about your business and get you the best VALUE product available without sacrificing QUALITY.

Customer Service:
Customer service covers a lot of topics. Bike Bros has it all from the very bottom up. The sales pitch that I got was very convincing. I had a couple of bikes already in mind before droping in to the shop. There was direct comparison between all of the bikes. They used information such as component comparison, and the different wheel path between companies suspension design and what effect it had on the perfomance. I never knew that there could be such a profound difference in ride quality between full suspensions(not apples to apples). All of this info made me believe that these guys know what they are talking about. All of the attention to detail and time spent was above and beyond what I have received anywhere else. These guys care about getting you the best value/performing rig for your individual purpose.

Other Comments:
I would definitly recommend Bike Bros to a friend and will make my future purchases from there shop.

Shop Summary:
For all the ladies out there that feel intimidated and/or ignored when shopping for a bike at Calgary bike shops – a shop by the name of Bike Bros in Cochrane is just what you’ve been looking for. Although it’s run by a couple of guys (Graham and Mike), I certainly didn’t feel any pressure to buy a bike that was made for a man. Their jam packed shop boasts a great selection of bikes for ladies and all the ‘accessories’ like gloves, helmets and clothes at competitive prices (and in cute colours and styles). Really relaxed vibe.

Customer Service:
Extremely helpful and friendly staff is all I can say. Within a couple of minutes of asking about where and how I ride, Mike narrowed in on a couple of bikes that would suit my kind of riding. I tried them and decided on the Giant Trance. I was sent to MacKay’s Ice Cream Shop for a ‘complimentary’ cone (try the Mayan Chocolate-it’s to die for!) while Mike changed out my stem, narrowed my handlebars and changed out the seat for a ladies specific saddle. These modifications were done to customize the bike to my body and comfort level. Buying a bike doesn’t get any easier than that!

Other Comments:
I haven’t made it in for my free maintenance (which comes with the bike), but Mike mentioned that because I bought the bike from Bike Bros that my bike gets VIP treatment – ie. Gets bumped up to the top of the list, even in the Summer months!

Great drive out to Cochrane and even better service! I highly recommend these guys!

Shop Summary:
Nice shop with an easy going atmosphere where laying down some cash doesn't leave you with that uneasy feeling that you've been taken. They helped walk me through getting geared up after a 10 year absence without make me feel intimidated for asking dumb questions.

Customer Service:
Walked in, told them what I was looking for at what price range and was sitting on the right bike for me 1 min later. They are friendly down to earth and eager to help match you with the right products for the right price. Friendly well informed service staff who come across as easy to approach unlike the greasy used car salesmen vibe I got from most shops in calgary.

Other Comments:
Worth the drive!
