Shop Summary:
Ok for end of season bike sale. Not great, but might have something you like. Otherwise, prices just way too high and selection highly limited. I bought two bikes from these guys a few years back. Wanted some other bits each time. They were reasonably helpful at first, but in the end never got me the manuals for the bikes or the other stuff they promised. They kept the clipless pedals they switched out for platforms too. Weren't interested in finding the source of a persistent and irritating noise on one bike. Haven't been back. I have to thank them though, it was them that caused me to stop going to bike stores for service and to start doing all my own wrenching and I've not looked back since. Build and maintain all my own bikes now. Never had a problem since my bikes have been maintained by someone that gives a damn - me! Lol.

Customer Service:
Good 'til you pay for you bike. Then, not so much.

Other Comments:
I'll give these guys 3* overall for stocking a couple of decent brands and for their end of season sale. If you know what you're doing and so don't need any support, they could be of use. If you're a noob, I'd steer clear or you may end up with something that doesn't suit and inadequate support on top of that. Bring someone that knows what they're doing.

MEC are good for wrenching and/or advice. Good techs. Or check www.sheldonbrown.com and learn to do all your own wrenching in a couple of days.

Shop Summary:
Been here twice, terrible customer service, will not be returning.

Customer Service:
I've been to this place twice. The first time I was looking for a helmet. It as midweek, around 2 or 3pm, when the shop was pretty much empty. There were at least 3 staff just hanging around, not doing anything really, and I had to ask them for help. The service was pretty terrible but I thought I would give them another chance. The second time I went there was for a quick-release for my seat post. I went into the service entrance and talked to some punk in his twenties who, to be blunt, was an arrogant little douchbag who didn't seem to know anything about bikes. I asked him if he could install the quick release since I didn't have any tools and he said no but offered his allen key set so I could do it myself. Ok, so it's pretty east to install a quickrelease and I could easily do it myself, but c'mon, talk about a useless "bike" store.

Other Comments:
I will never be going back to that place. I think it's hilarious that this place has been getting terrible reviews all the way back to 2007, haha, I thought it was just me but the cats out of the bag: this is possibly the worst bike store in Calgary! I wonder if the owner even cares? The only reason I went here is because it's downtown and I live downtown...it's not worth it though, trust me!

Shop Summary:
Wow good to see people are taking the time to give feed back about the BS.
The shop is well laid out and they do have a good choice of bikes, components and clothing. As for price I guess they are ok on most items.

Customer Service:
They don’t have any. I got an '06 Enduro from them late in the season on sale. I loved the feel of the bike and was told that it was the ride I was looking for. The bike they sold me was a scam. The fork had been recalled but they chose not to send it in and have it refurbished (Nixon). As with all the other posts I didn't bother asking the salesman any set up questions as it was obvious he didn't know anything and was waaaaaay to cool to answer anything anyway.
I took my bike in early the next season to Bow to get them to look at the fork as it started to feel soft. There they told me about the recall. I took it back to BS and they said I could purchase a new one from them. After we got that straight they told me it would be up to 4 weeks to get a new one....nice. So much for the peak riding season. I ended up getting one from Bow and have never set foot in that "shop" again.

Other Comments:
In case anyone from the BS reads this I have since got another Enduro, an '08, and so did a co worker based on riding mine - about $8000 - both from Bow. Sale or no sale I will never get anything from that place again.
If the owner is at all interested in his shop he is reading the reviews and if he has any sense of pride he would post some comments if nothing else to apologize for how his staff treat customers...yes customers, the ones who give you money.

Shop Summary:
Big shop with poor merchandising, hard to find staff, terrible mechanics and high prices.

Customer Service:
If you can find someone they won't know what they're talking about, nor will they be able to find someone that does.

Other Comments:
I've lost track of the number of times I've stopped to help people on the trail that just had their bikes "serviced" at the bike shop. Issues include poor shifting to missing chainring bolts to loose stems.

Every time I have gone into this store to buy products, I have been unable to get any customer service (even in the middle of the day when the store was quiet).
