Shop Summary:
This is basically a good all round LBS. I think it maybe the longest established on in town, certainly most people know where it is. The staff are pretty good but they can get very busy. The range of bikes is not bad but not very extensive. They service a lot of average users; I do see a good number of mountain bikers in there so I suppose that is their speciality if they have one (there was a more dedicated shop in town, but they closed down and where replaced by two more road oriented outfits - sign of the times?)

Customer Service:
Each time I go to get service I have got it, maybe not very fast, but as quick as they can. I used to use this store a good deal when I started biking and got pretty decent advice. I once asked them advice on the price of a secondhand bike part and they were pretty co-operative even though there wasn't anything in it for them. Their hours are pretty good and one time I got in late on a Sunday with a spare part emergency and the owner stayed open while he tried to help me. Ended up he couldn't, but he said he get some of the parts I needed for future requirements anyway!

Other Comments:
I suppose this is a classic LBS of the old school, where you'd tell your neighbour to go if he just wanted a basic bike, or needed his kid's repaired. They are very straight forward and will cover the basics very well.
