Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: Nice bike shop. They seem to have a nice selection of bikes. Although they do not have the largest amount of bikes in stock, they are able to order anything which you may need. Customer Service: Very friendly! Newcomers are never frowned down upon or seen as a 'waist of time'. Only good things to say about their Service. Other Comments: If you live anywhere on Vancouver Island, this bike shop is definitely worth the drive...Even for Victorians :)

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: A few years back my love for riding was rekindled and I check out all of the local shops. Can't complain about any of them but John and the guys at Mountain City Cycle (in Courtenay B.C.) really made me feel comfortable. It had been years since I had had a decent bike and they took the time to explain the little things to me. I know I must be one of those dreaded shoppers . .the ones who want to learn everything before making a decision, and it was their friendly patience that won me over. No pressure salesman BS, no lazy attitude ... just good people with the expertise and enthusiasm to make a superb bike shop.
You know sometimes you're in a store, any kind of store, and your lack of experience/knowledge makes you feel like the staff are a bit bored with you? Well never once did I get that from any of the MCC staff. As a result I've purchased two bikes from them now and HIGHLY recomend them to anyone interested in biking. Customer Service: They were fast and again, took the time to detail/explain what issues I was dealing with on my bike. Bottom line? A great store with a great staff and well worth the effort to get there for the pro to the entry level rider. Other Comments: The new shop on 5th looks great!
