Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels)
that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your
customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML
code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»

Mountain City Cycle
Run by Jon, Jason and Chris who specialize in giving honest prices and great customer service be it FR/DH, all-mountain, XC, trials, road, bmx. They've got lots of high/med/low end parts in stock and can order or get anything you want, as well as a kick-ass selection of bikes in stock too. They carry Devinci, Giant, Cove, Haro, oh boy, not too familiar with the road stuff.
I've bought all my bikes through these guys and keep on going back even though it's a 2 1/2 hour drive from where I'm currently living (Victoria) - you just can't beat them. They've just moved into the new shop at the bottom of 5th Street before the 5th Street bridge in Courtenay and finally have enough room to show off some of their great bikes. The new shop also gives them plenty of room to administer plenty of tlc to anyone's ride within a reasonable time frame.
I guess that's all I can say right now, I hihgly suggest stopping in and checking MCC out if you're in the neighbourhood - I'm sure you won't be disappointed. |

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: Nice bike shop. They seem to have a nice selection of bikes. Although they do not have the largest amount of bikes in stock, they are able to order anything which you may need. Customer Service: Very friendly! Newcomers are never frowned down upon or seen as a 'waist of time'. Only good things to say about their Service. Other Comments: If you live anywhere on Vancouver Island, this bike shop is definitely worth the drive...Even for Victorians :)

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: A few years back my love for riding was rekindled and I check out all of the local shops. Can't complain about any of them but John and the guys at Mountain City Cycle (in Courtenay B.C.) really made me feel comfortable. It had been years since I had had a decent bike and they took the time to explain the little things to me. I know I must be one of those dreaded shoppers . .the ones who want to learn everything before making a decision, and it was their friendly patience that won me over. No pressure salesman BS, no lazy attitude ... just good people with the expertise and enthusiasm to make a superb bike shop.
You know sometimes you're in a store, any kind of store, and your lack of experience/knowledge makes you feel like the staff are a bit bored with you? Well never once did I get that from any of the MCC staff. As a result I've purchased two bikes from them now and HIGHLY recomend them to anyone interested in biking. Customer Service: They were fast and again, took the time to detail/explain what issues I was dealing with on my bike. Bottom line? A great store with a great staff and well worth the effort to get there for the pro to the entry level rider. Other Comments: The new shop on 5th looks great!
