Downhiller Shop Summary: A small, tidy family-run shop, and the location is easy to get too. They have been in business for many, many years so you know they will be there next week, next month, and next year to take care of you. Customer Service: I first went into the store a complete mtn. bike newbie. Don took the time to show me what works, what doesn't, and told me why. When I went home and stuck my face into the computer, they were willing to listen to my new-found knowledge and let me know what was BS, and what was fact. When I tried to buy a bike more expensive than my final purchase, they were there to let me know I was choosing wrong.
They made sure the bike fit me, replaced the stem for a better size, and took care of me until I moved to BC. Even now when I go back to visit I stop in to say hello. Great, great people. Other Comments: If Joe is around, take the time to chat with him. He knows more about bikes than many others I know. Ask him about the wheelchair he built.
I miss this store. There are many great ones around me now, but like my first love, Canary is still the best.
