Chain Reaction Bicycles was founded in 1988 by Paul and Bill Greene - two brothers who grew up in the West end of Toronto with a longstanding passion for bikes. If you're considering buying a new bike or are looking for general cycling information, Paul, Bill and their excellent staff are always available to give you the advice you need.

Shop Summary:
Chain Reaction carries some of the best bike brands and the prices are on par with other stores in the city. They offer 3 years of service/tuneups whereas many other stores I visited offered only 2 years. The store & backroom/service area is always clean, an well kept even during the busiest hours of the day which is a good sign.

Customer Service:
There is no denying the knowledge Chain Reaction employees have over their bikes. The two owners of the store, Paul and Bill, were also helpful although we found Bill to be a little too aggressive in selling the more expensive bike. Some folks look for a bike with a certain budget in mind, and disregarding that important factor can be a souring experience. *BUT* What turned our opinion around was an employee in particular named Frank. He was especially helpful in that he made bike selection a relaxing process - which is what every customer wants. We learned a bit more about riding every time we visited.

If you are in the area and you want to get into biking I recommend stopping by Chain Reaction and see what Frank has to say, while the owners Paul & Bill work out a deal for you.

Other Comments:
Bottom line: Whether you are an experienced rider, or an entry level n00b, Chain Reaction has what your are looking for.
