Shop Summary:
After reading the two reviews on google i must admit i was a bit reluctant to buy from Freeborn bikes but their prices were extremely competitive. I purchased both the Park Tool TS-8 truing stand and TM-1 Spoke Tension Meter and they arrived Tuesday of last week. Unfortunately the gauge on the truing stand arrived bent, not blaming Freeborn as it could have been a manufacturing error or the courier might thrown it around. Anyways i rang up Freeborn and spoke to Joe who was very understanding and assured me that if I was to send the parts back he would get them replaced. I sent them back Weds, got another phone call Thurs and had the new parts with me on the Friday. 3 days to replace a faultily part through an online store was extremely impressive. Freeborn really went out their way to help me out and they even gave me a little something extra for my trouble - not sweets or Maoams, actually something decent that really helped me when building my first set of wheels. Looking at the other reviews, the first is from 2 years ago and the second 5 months, this may be a company looking to change it's image or perhaps two people were just unfortunate to have a bad experience with them and decided to post it up on the net. I'm one of the many I'm sure who have had a good experience with Freeborn and I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to friends and family in the future. Buy with confidence!

Customer Service:
Joe was very understanding and service was excellent.

Will use again!

Shop Summary:
Brought a Specilized Hardrock sport disc online, easy and simple order process, bike turned up on time and got all info. I.E: tracking info. The bike arrived on time next day (very quick!), had to phone the workshop for some help Russell was very helpful and explained what I needed to do. Also had a little personal note from freeborn and that was a nice little touch to the service.

Customer Service:
Very good! Russell was a great help and loving the bike just as described on the website.

Other Comments:
Would like to tell everyone that for great prices on there website you don't get any half measures on service.

Shop Summary:
A couple of weeks ago I purchased a specialized stump jumper Via mail order with a few other bits and the customer service was incredible they were so helpful for example they emailed me confirmation and my tracking number when the bike had been dispatched and the bike was with me within 3 days and I wasn't sure how to set it up so I called their workshop and had a mechanic talk me through the whole setup was a bit of a let down that I had to set up the bike as I thought they would have done this.
Overall I am very happy with the service as I have brought bikes from other stores locally and the customer service was terrible.

Other Comments:
I will keep shopping at freeborn as they have proven to be really reliable.

Shop Summary:
Purchased the bike online

Customer Service:
Terrible!!
Purchased a Specialized bike online and now wish I'd paid more to buy it elsewhere.
Arrived with a buckled front wheel. Sent it back to be fixed. They did so but then returned it back to me......but not to the address I'd specified. They didn't see this as a problem. Their general tone was one of "whats the problem, just go pick it up from the post office". Not good.
First cycle on it and the gears didn't work. Lots of scrapping and clanging and not being able to switch gears. They said pre-sale that the gears would be aligned and ready to go. Not so!! I popped into a local shop to me to get them fixed. Rung Freeborn the following working day and was treated like a liar, was told i had no proof, their checklist showed everything was 100% ok when sending out to me (except for the front wheel of course - theymanaged to miss that obvious fault!!).
Spent quite sometime on the phone but was gradually wound up by their total lack of empathy, the lack of care, the lack of anything at all that normally resembles customer care.

Other Comments:
I'd never use Freeborn ever again. The post sales care is non existant. They treat you like dirt. They're arrogant. I totally regret buying my bike from them. Totally untrustworthy. Be warned!
