Racer Shop Summary: I bought a Niner Jet9 RDO from Michael at Speedgoat. Michael went above and beyond to take care of me. The bike came as promised and was perfect. Since then I have ordered 4 more bike parts and the price was better than anywhere else and it all arrived as expected. I can't find their site online at the moment so not sure if they went under or what, but my experience with them was nothing but possitive.

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: Ordered a clearance cyclocross frameset from them. Processing and shipping was very fast. Product arrived as expected and for the most part was well packaged. Customer Service: The frameset was missing the seatcollar/rear cable hanger and some bolts. Contacted CS via their website and was responded to within 24 hours saying that the manufacturer didn't provide enough collars for their framesets and they're attempting to source one within the week to send to me. Over 2 weeks later, no update and no response. I directly respond to the e-mail of the person who responded to me (Michael C, "Sales Manager"), politely asking for an update as that was the only part I needed for the bike and I felt it was silly for me to need to go buy one elsewhere when I should be expecting one.
A week following that message, I had not gotten a response. So I sent another message through their website, which netted me <24 hour response the first time. It's been multiple business days since that with no response. Facebook comments on their page show i'm not the only one unable to get a response from them by e-mail or phone.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: I'm in a rather unique situation - American citizen, but posted overseas. After moving to Nepal, I thought I wanted to upgrade to a full-suspension 29er, and settled on the Tallboy LTc. I sent multiple emails to different vendors asking for quotes on the same packages, and Michael @ Speedgoat blew away the competition with both pricing and the absolutely stunning customer service! He responded to emails promptly, and was extremely detail oriented. By the time I had made up my mind w/ the specific build, Michael walked me through every step of the way - oh and this was all over email and Skype.
Well, my initial order was back in July, and he had the frame built up, packed into a Thule box, and shipped to my parents house by early August! I just received the box last week (State Dept takes a while sometimes) - and WOW. Amazing. The bike was clearly assembled, then disassembled carefully and packed so that it only required me throwing on the wheels, and then bolting the handebars into the stem. To say I'm impressed would be a tremendous understatement. Customer Service: These guys are lightyears ahead of their competition. Michael @ Speedgoat was incredible in his responsiveness, and attention to detail. This shop has EARNED my business. I used to live in Richmond, VA - and tried hard to give my business to the LBS's. I've spent thousands of dollars at the local shops (one in particular) - and never got the responsiveness that Michael directed towards me.
Oh - and when I had questions about parts, fitting, etc - Michael sounded like he knew his parts. In other words, he didn't give me the basic sales pitch on items, he was just honest and open in his communication - and it showed (in a great way). Other Comments: Just a summary note: I was a bit wary of ordering a bike online from a builder in a different state, especially one that I hadn't visited or used before. If you are in a similar situation - email or call these guys up - they are awesome. I will be ordering from them for my wife's next bike upgrade!

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: They did a fabulous job in building, testing, and packing up my new bike. I never thought I'd see someone do as good a job, or better, than Competitive Cyclist, but Speedgoat did! The bike was beautifully built up, with the disc brakes and gearing perfectly adjusted. The bike was packed securely and protected very well, not a scratch! They did such a great job, when I unpacked the bike, it was ready to ride in less than 30 minutes! They included a list of the work done to build the bike, with all the components listed, and the name of the mechanic who built the bike and the mechanic who test rode it prior to packing. Customer Service: I bought a 2012 BMC AlpenChallege with 105 / Tiagra components. This is a hard to find bike model in the US, BMC mostly sells it in Europe, and I was very happy to find someone in the US selling it. Michael C., at Speedgoat, gave me a terrific price and even picked up the cost of shipping! I ordered the bike on Friday and had it on Wednesday. They did more than they said they would and delivered! The folks at Speedgoat communicated excellently throughout the process, happily answered all of my questions (I was semi-annoying with the number of questions, too!), and someone always got back to me in response to emails. No problems whatsoever! Other Comments: I would not hesitate to recommend Speedgoat to anyone interested in buying either a bike or anything bike related. It was a very good experience, and I ended up with a terrific bike at a terrific price, with free shipping! I would very happily buy from Speedgoat again.
