Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: I have been to bike shops all over the country and nothing matches the true quality and service you receive at RTR. If you are in Alaska this is THE shop. Customer Service: I tacoed a wheel on a friday night ride and was going on an epic Kenai ride the next day. I made it to RTR at closing time and he stayed open until I had a new wheel trued and ready to go. Service you will never get at a "chinese assembly line shop"............. ever!!!

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: Small shop obviously dedicated to the bikes. Customer Service: As stated in the previous review, this is a small, one man owned and operated backyard shop. I agree with everything that was said in the previous review. Rick is a very capable and conscientious guy, who is a library of information when it comes to your bike needs. He takes the extra time to make sure you are getting a product you will be happy with. After the sale, he makes sure you got what you wanted and shows you all the little nuances with regard to the maintenance and adjustments. I was very impressed. His service is timely and his costs are very reasonable. You will not have to wait for a response, as I have experienced with other shops like the Red Barn.

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: Incredible 1 on 1 personalized customer service. Quality bikes and components built by an expert mechanic. Quick turnaround on repairs, rebuilds. Sometimes on the spot work done while you wait. Customer Service: Extremely knowledgeable mechanic/rider/shop dude that has lived in Alaska most of his life, knows what is out there for riders, and knows what riders need to enjoy the ride the most. Takes your personal riding style into consideration when building a bike for you. Dealer of high quality, man-made frames that perform and last. Other Comments: I've had my bike worked on in shops around town that deal with 1000's of customers and a tune up is done on an assembly line, sometimes very poorly done. It's done right the first time here, and it's done right well. I recommend RTR over any shop.
