Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels) that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»
Javelina Cycles

Javelina Cycles has been in busisness for 1 year and is opening a new location on the SW coner of 48th and Chandler Blvd, just west of the I-10 Freeway. This shop carries many types of bikes from the highend road and mountain to comfort bikes and kids bikes. Repair service completed in 1-3 days, and many simple repairs done while you wait.

We'll be carrying some tri-sport products including wet suits and clothing, and also looking at the market for women-specific bikes. We'll be doing bicycle fits, along with evening courses for the novice cyclist to learn on the road or trail repairs. A flat should never cancel your riding experience for the day.

Our bike lines are Brody, Diamondback, Felt, Fuji, Niner, Raleigh. We also carry Burley trailers.

We're having a Grand Opening celebration at the new store on Saturday, December 2. Some of the store specials will be $45 road tires for $10.95, $55 mountain bike tires for $15.95, tubes $1.99, cycling gloves $4.99, and $39 floor pumps for $15.95. We'll have juice and snacks provides by odwalla, and bread from Great Harvest Bread Company. Come see us, we'd love to be your bike shop.

Shop Summary:
Javelina Cycles has a great selection of bikes in stock. Road Bikes,BMX, MTB or cruisers, Javelina has the bike solution to meet your riding needs.

Customer Service:
Customer service is truly what sets Javelina apart from other Bike shops in the Phoenix area. Rick and his crew are informative offering great advice while never applying pressure to buy. For the beginner or serious racer, Javelina has the expertise and selection to help you purchase the best bike for you.

Other Comments:
My wife and I have bought 5 bikes from Javelina since October of 2007. I intend to buy my next 5 bikes from Javelina as well. If you are new to Mountain or Road biking,be sure to accept Jay's offer to provide a free coaching session. Jay is a sincere bike ambassador helping people rediscover the joy of riding. Bottom line...I recommend Javelina Cycles to anyone looking to purchase a bike.

Shop Summary:
Great variety of BMX, Road and All-Mountain bikes. Whether you are looking for a bike to kick around town on or a high end road bike, this shop has probably got it. New store is really nice.

Customer Service:
These guys know cycling. I have purchased two bikes from this store (a road bike and a full suspension mtn bike). In both cases I got what I needed. No one tried to sell me more bike than my skills or budget would allow. As a bonus both bikes were in stock so I was able to get them right away. I've been back since to buy some accessories and have always found the folks here to be helpful.

Other Comments:
The owner of this shop has been involved in the cycling community for a number of years. You may see him around town on a single speed track bike taking a club ride of 40 miles or riding a beach cruiser with a trailer in tow taking his daughter to day care. The folks at this shop are good people and you will be treated fairly.

Shop Summary:
High-end to cost-effective, wide variety of bikes in stock...and willing to get other stuff in, if your heart desires a non-stock item (as mine did).

Customer Service:
I purchased a snazzy bmx bike from Javelina about 6 weeks ago. Service was prompt, polite, informative, and helpful. On top of that, the pricing was great.
I had been to other shops in the course of this purchase: Other shops tended to have either slow service, poor selection, high prices, or a sales staff intent on selling me stuff that I had already indicated that I didn't want.
Javelina was different.
I am very happy with my Javelina experience...and that's is coming from a guy that is quick to criticize, and has years of professional purchasing experience.

Other Comments:
I purchased from them, while they were still on Ray Blvd. I haven't been to the new location, on Chandler Blvd, yet. I hear that the new location has more floor space, which suggests to me, even better selection.
Enjoy your shopping folks.
