Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: Overated shop that too good to be helpful to begginers Customer Service: I live right behind and have been to this LBS 3 times. Each time even though I was the the only person in the store I was ignored by the staff. I guess they chose to ignore me becuase I am a fatty. Never mind that I had $1500.00 burning a whole in my pocket looking to get back into MT Biking.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: SMC, is "the best" bike shop in Arizona! I have been visiting bike shops in the state since 2005 and there is no question about it, SMC is the best! I will always recommend to anybody that I know to go to SMC since they will take absolute care of you. Not only towards your servicing needs, but they are a living cycling encyclopedia and pro-riders themselves. If you buy a bike from them, they will absolutely accommodate any of your needs, respect every warranty you have, and for the lack of a better word, they are AWESOME!
"SMC is the best" Customer Service: I bought a '09 Specilized Stumpjumoper 29er Comp from them with a five year extended warranty and for some reason I got lucky and started having problems straight away... To cut a very long and detailed story short, as a result of their service I continue to love Specialized, not only for the very good relationship they have with Specialized (a phone call away) but for their care towards me and my riding experience. Now I have an upgraded 2010 frame, upgrade wheel set and hub, plus it is always running in excellent condition thanks to the innumerable times I have had to take my bike in after a race or a hard ride to readjust settings, without any extra fees. I love riding my bike and it is all thanks to SMC. They are AWESOME! Other Comments: Erik, the owner I believe... is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to anything that has to do with riding bikes, but also a very nice person that will take the time to explain things in layman terms and get you understanding the pros and cons of what ever is that you are questioning him about. Craig, is the best bike mechanic I have encounter and also a very nice and patient person when it comes to dealing with your bike, I know, because my bike is in there all the time! Plus they have fantastic no interest financing programs and extended warranties that you want to have when riding a mountain bike in Arizona, rocky as hell! things will brake and or fail, their KPP program is phenomenal! I am proud to recomend SMC to you or anybody, and I promise you, you will not want to take your bike anywhere else ever again!

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: South Mountain Cycles is a Specialized dealer in the Ahwatukee/South Mountain area near my home. Customer Service: I was greeted, treated well as soon as I came in the door. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, not pushy or rude. Other Comments: I'm coming back to mountain biking after a very long lapse and I was never a very serious rider. But some friends who are more serious riders got me interested and after reading about entry level bikes I was looking for a specialized dealer.
I'm a clydesdale and I've read reviews elsewhere of bike shops turning their nose up at bigger bikers. That was not the case when I visited this shop. I was greeted as soon as I came in the door. The staff was able to give me answers about the bikes I was interested in and they didn't try to push anything on me that I didn't need or want. I ended up buying an '07 Hardrock Sport that suits my limited needs as a reborn newbie. It was 20% off and I feel I got a good deal.
I'll definitely return to this shop, and they are already doing a tune up/repairs on my wife's Bianchi Advantage.

Always go out of their way to help out a biker in need. Other Comments: I was refered to them about six months ago and have not been to another bike shop since. I have brought 3 fellow riders to them who all bought bikes and are 100% happy with the service they recieve. These guys ROCK.
