Shop Summary:
ABW has a great selection of bikes and parts. From high end to budgets, they have everything.

Customer Service:
ABW has helped me many times with repairs, advice, and even recommending a bike they don't sell because it would fit my riding style. Always friendly and helpfull.

Other Comments:
I would recommend this shop any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Shop Summary:
Hard to get to store location, not a bad shop. Need a tube? They're in the back where you can't see them or choose what you want. Need rim tape...same. Feel like waiting awhile while the clerk tries to find anything? Why bother.

Customer Service:
S L O W service and inexperienced. When the customer gets home and finds out he has a long stem presta tube and the narrowest rim tape for his mountain bike (when he even brought his wheel in...) that pretty much sucks. Should have known after the sales guy tried to sell me a road bike rim liner, then the mechanic advises I use electric tape instead of velox cloth rim tape...

Also, bought a mini pump from them, 2 months later it breaks. Brought it back in and had to leave it w/ my phone number to see if they'll even give me a new one or my money back. WTF?

Other Comments:
Been in there 3 times and will never go back. The other bike shop is just such a way nicer experience, quicker better service - even if both are over-priced, Auburn Bike Works has the worst of the pricing. (You know they're over-priced when REI has better prices on items).

LBS should know more than the customer, especially when it comes to simple items like rim tape size and presta valve standard mtb tubes...

Shop Summary:
This shop has bailed me out with numerous installs and repairs. I live an hour away but have made the drive numerous times to receive competent advice and assistance. This shop was recommended to me and I continue to recommend it to others.

Customer Service:
I've worked with one specific employee (Ash) several times and remain impressed with his attitude and willingness to help out a fellow rider.

Other Comments:
I only wish this shop was closer to my work or residence. "Hey guys, how about opening a new location in Sac?"

Shop Summary:
As the other reviewers said, Auburn Bike Works treats you like one of their own. I felt like that the first time I went in there, and it's been the same ever since.

Customer Service:
Excellent! Very helpful and knowledgeable. I have been to a lot of bike shops over the years I have been riding and few measure up to the way Auburn Bike Works treats you.

Other Comments:
Since I had moved to the area several years ago, I had been to other shops in the general area and not been happy with the way I was treated. Most of the other shops had one or two employees that maybe cared, but the rest varied from indifferent to rude.

Finally one day I went to the Auburn Bike Works. What a huge differnce! Every body that I've met so far has been great.

Shop Summary:
Auburn Bike Works, more than a bike shop, a community of friendly, down to earth, knowledgeable, local bike riders who happen to work at really great bike shop. The shop is locally owned and operated. Over the years, since 1972, this shop has helped to organize races of all sorts, and to open off road trails for bicycle use. Call and see if they're doing a shop ride this week. Thos are fun too.

350 Grass Valley Highway
Auburn, California

Customer Service:
Wonderful customer service. The shop is just the right size so when you need help its easy to get. That is if one of the Auburn Bike Works employees hasn't already welcomed you to the store, which is usually the case. Refreshingly, they don't even "try" selling you anything. They usually just want to know how your riding is going, or if you've been able to ride something really great in the area. Of course if you want to buy something they won't stop you, and they carry good products which pretty much sell themselves. The shop always knows current trail conditions and are happy to give trail advice to suite your style of riding. They'll fix your bike. They're nice and friendly.

Other Comments:
I could buy online cheaper butI don't because I value Auburn Bike Works service and their support of local events.
