Shop Summary:
Art's is the most organized, most professional shop in San Luis Obispo. Yes, perhaps there might be an elitist vibe, but thats typical of most high end bike shops. The only bad thing about them are their prices.. CBO usually is quicker to hash out a deal and hook it up at a reasonable price. But Art's usually comes in second.

Customer Service:
Every time I've been in there, they have been great. They really know what they are selling and they have always helped me out right away.

Had a descent variety of parts.

Customer Service:
Friendly and Helpful.

Other Comments:
I ordered a bleed kit and grips from these guys online. There listed prices were not the best but they price matched from different websites for me. My package came in about 3-4 days with there free ups shipping, and in the box was return shipping slip. I would definitely order from these guys again!

I'm a beggining weekend biker and had no idea what I needed in a bike. The guys at Art's Cyclery has a lot of great choices and fitted me for my biking ability as well as my needs. They were friendly and I had a great experience overall.

Shop Summary:
Weird shop, I couldn't stand the place for years as they were mostly snotty triathletes and roadies, then the ownership changed and they were cool and now they change ownership again are lame again. What's the deal?

Customer Service:
These guys were the snotty roadie shop for years, they'd treat you horribly if you weren't a cat 2 racer or better.
About three years ago I started going back and they were pretty cool in there; helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I bought a $3k stumpjumper for my father and all the regular crap for the next couple years.
I go in mid December and ask if they are having a sale for Christmas as I'm looking for a new DJ bike and they have a P bike. I've called probably 25+ shops all over CA and EVERY ONE is having a Christmas sale. The fat, non rider sales guy at Arts says "no dude, no sale, you missed it last weekend." I ask if they can work with me considering the p bike was on sale just 5 days before and I'd rather buy locally than while I'm up north for work. He sneers and says "no dude, you missed the sale." I ask how much the P bike was during the sale and when the next sale is. He says "You don't want to know. Next sale is in 4 months." He sighs like I'm wasting his time and then he walks away leaving me standing there with the bike in my hands.
Then I hear him talking crap to a mechanic about people trying to bargain. Took all my self control to maintain my cool.

Other Comments:
Their prices are 10-15% higher than any other shop in town so go somewhere else. I don't like paying a premium to be talked down to by some fat dude who doesn't even ride. Maybe roadies like bike snobs?
