Shop Summary:
Fantastic shop with a great selection of bikes, parts, and fantastic service, especially in regards to BMX bikes.

Customer Service:
I brought my BMX bike into the shop for a new spoke/nipple and a brake lever. Without any hesitation, Pat helped me find the parts I needed, and had them installed in 15 minutes, and this was ALL ON A BUSY WEEKEND! Can't deny the excellent customer service.

Shop Summary:
I came across this shop because they helped me out at a XC race. Rob the owner was there and took care of my bike like I was riding on a pro team. I then started going to the shop because they service Cannondale and not all shops can work on them.

After switching to DS and 4X racing I decided to buy a new bike. I found a used Intense Tazer HT. Not only did Calabasas agree to build it up but they noticed it was cracked and needed to be re-welded. They sent it back to Intense and managed the whole process of getting it back and painted. After getting it painted they built it with all the best components. Overall the experience was good despite challenges with Intense not getting me the frame back very quickly. Because Intense too so long to get me my frame I didn't have it ready for Sea Otter. Calabassas lent me a bike so that I can do the race. The posts that talk about them not caring or not interested in working on bikes not bought with them are probably unrealistic or just people that can't be made happy anywhere.

Customer Service:
If you can catch these guys while they are not busy the service is great. The problem is they are never ever not busy. I have even come in on a weekday in the winter and it was busy. My only problem with this is I think some of the service and repairs show signs of rushed work. This happens at all busy shops not just this one.

Other Comments:
They have all types of bikes. Maybe too many for my desires. I would like to see nothing but high end race bikes but i'm sure this works well for them.

Shop Summary:
The shop is nice and has a lot of good bikes and components.

Customer Service:
Mixed review here. On my only visit there I was treated well by the staff I dealt with. There was a lady who was helpful and a middle aged gentleman who seemed really cool. That's where it stops. I just called the the shop 10 minutes ago to ask a SIMPLE question. A younger guy answered the phone, I asked him if I could get an idea of how much $ it would cost to do an istall for me. He immediately said "just bring the bike in". I told him I have not built it yet and I just want to know how.......... and the idiot cuts me off and says "we are not interested". I am putting BMX cranks on a downhill bike and did not even get to say that. "we are not interested" without hearing what i had to say? Like I was a telemarketer or something. Sorry but I will never visit that shop again while they employee a Tool like him. That is too bad, because i was pretty happy with the service prior. Totally uncalled for, I hope the owner reads this and figures out who he is. I called on 8/9/07 at 3:00PM Pacific, hope you can figure out who it was owner because you will lose a lot of customers with that moron answering the phone.

Shop Summary:
Family owned and operated. Quality products. Good mechanics.

Customer Service:
I've been going to this shop for almost 8 years for service on my Cannondale Super V. They have 3 really good mechanics that I know of (Rob, Bob, and Pat). They stand behind their products and service - if a mistake is made or a product is defective, they make it right.

Other Comments:
I recently built up a new, custom mountain bike based on a Ventana frame. I ordered the frame and all of the components through Rob and he gave me a really good discount from retail (plus 5 years of maintenance at no additional cost). When the parts came in, I was allowed to participate in the build-up with Rob. This was not only fun, but a real learning experience. When the bike was done, Pat helped me set up the cockpit (i.e., seat position, stem length/angle) so that the bike fit me perfectly. When I bent the derailleur hanger on one of my first rides (my fault), Bob straightened it out for no charge.

Shop Summary:
This shop has a lot of tools. Showroom carries low-end to mid-range bikes.

Customer Service:
The service is only good when you are spending a lot of money. They refused to help me with a SRAM warranty issue noting that they were busy and that I didn't buy the part from them. This is a bad reason to NOT to help a rider. Chain Reaction at Los Altos is much better. They also over charge for simple jobs. It cost me $20 to press a fitting out of my shock, which took them 2 minutes to do.

On the other hand, Rob (owner?) was very helpful when I was there to sample their road bikes. So if you are going to spend $2000 on a bike, then you'll get good service. If you only want small parts, then you should go somewhere else (other than Performance).
