Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels)
that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your
customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML
code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»

Shop Summary: The shop at Mikes is average - possibly slightly above. Be prepared to wait for any repair though-- this shop is busy and service is often impersonal. The Five year plan is probably worth it if you like waiting two weeks every time your derailleur is out of tune, your hubs start knocking, or your wheel is out of true. Try as they may - the mechanics at Mike's just don't have the support they need to handle the massive volume of bikes coming through.
Customer Service:
I would give a generous rating of sub standard. Sales associate when I bought my bike was nice and smooth to get the bike out of the door... but the love pretty much stopped there. If you want to talk to slicksters that don't give you the raw data you need to make an informed decision - go to Mike's. I never even got an owner's manual for my bike now that I think of it. Be prepared to be overcharged for just about everything...
Other Comments: I normally don't write negative reviews and always try to be constructive and respectful, but this review is called for... My experiences at Mike's have been a mix of mediocre and poor. I would recommend going to your neighborhood shop and not getting sucked into the mass marketing campaign of this corporate style shop. I fell for it and now after a few years of trying to respect their space I have run out of patience. I ride my bike hard two sometimes three nights per week and know how to fix most of the issues that come up with it, but thought the five year plan would save me head aches… Take the hundred bucks and get yourself some tools - that's what I should have done.

Shop Summary: Large floor space with a large selection of bikes to chose from.
Customer Service: That's where the shop falls short. I felt as though I was bothering the staff when I asked a question. My experience there did not make me want to get a bike and ride off to my nearest trail. It was a real buzz-Kill.

Shop Summary: A sale brought me in there to buy a Specialized Carbon Enduro. The money I saved on the bike was not worth the hassle: bad customer service, bad shop service, and bad communication. Everyone there seems to hate their job. Even Performance bike shop offers a better experience than Mike's Bikes.
Customer Service: The general manager was unresponsive until I got in contact with the owners. Service manager was unhelpful and my bike was damaged in their shop during a routine service. Other services were incomplete and slow. Even purchasing the bike was an issue; I had to pursue them, not the other way around.
Issues must be from the top down; owners only seemed to be helpful initially. Spoke on the phone a couple times with one of the owners; ultimately he let me down, just like his shop.
Other Comments: Even before I bought my enduro from Mike's Bikes I had more than one rider recommend against it. I just moved back into their area and wanted them to be my shop. They have no passion about bikes, their jobs, or their shop and it shows.
STAY AWAY!

Shop Summary: Good shop, good selection of bikes, excellent deals when you can catch them, i got over $700 off on my stumpy fsr. the sales people are fairly helpful, the mechanics are good and helpful. i bought the 5 year service plan and havent had a problem using it yet.
Customer Service: their customer service is good, id say a solid B. i would give them something higher, but they arent quite on the level of totally helpful...very knowlegeable, just not totally helpful.
Other Comments: i will continue to be a long time customer of mikes bikes in PA and i live in santa clara, that tells ya something about how much I value the shop.

Shop Summary: Avoid at all costs!!! Not even worth the Sale prices in the long run!
Customer Service: by far some of the worst customer service i've ever experienced. the staff for the most part stands around waiting for you to ask a question rather than approaching you, and when you do have a question it seems like you're twisting their arm for help.
their service department is just as bad, taking ridiculous time to assemble bikes or perform routine service
Other Comments: Ben is particularly rude and generally useless as far as getting help is concerned.
