Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels)
that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your
customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML
code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»
Breakaway Bikes
Family shop that has a great varity of bikes from entry level to high end and a mixture of cruisers and single speeds to go with it. The shop has a competive service department with certified mechanics. The shop also offers a student discount to both Sonoma State and SRJC students. The shop provides great custmoer service and every purchase is important to them. They also have a large selection of BMX bikes and parts.
Shop Summary: Great Shop, the ydon't always carry the high end Bling gear,
but will special order anything with a quick turnaround. I just got a new CX bike from them (Jamis Supernova) A really positive attitude shop, you will not ever get the "Too cool for school" attitude that you get at some of the more 'racer oriented' shops in Sonoma County.
Good range of bikes, 26 and 29" MTBs, cruisers, road, hybirds, and CX as well.
Customer Service: Great customer service. Phil excells at taking his time with each customer that comes through the door. The downside is that you might have to wait a bit when looking for help, but the guys from the back of the shop are all capable of coming out front and helping out. Another thing you don't always see at other local shops.
Other Comments: Great shop, great service, competitive prices, and they support our local racing and riding scene. Phil personally comes out and volunteers at local CX and MTB races. The team guys all do trailwork in Annadel, and all volunteer a lot with the guys from Bikemonkey putting on races and rides and whatnots.

Shop Summary: found them randomly right off the freeway in great location. Owner Phil greeted me with smile and asked me what I needed. Shop was busy but everyone was being helped. Employees are bike riders and they all had passion for riding bikes and helped me decide where to ride since I was from out of town.
Customer Service: Owner did a simple adjustment to bike when i told him about a problem I was having at no charge. Made my next ride better. Cool people, good atmosphere and a fun local shop wish i lived closer to be able to hang out more often.
Other Comments: Can't wait to come back maybe we will get out on our mountain bikes next time thanks for the good service

Shop Summary: This is an ideal shop. Great location off highway 101 for those in Sonoma County and those traveling through. Plenty of avail parking. Shop has a fun/enjoyable atmosphere- has great natural lighting inside, has quality gear in stock. A staff that rides..loves to ride.. and can give you proper information about componentry, nutrition/hydration, places to ride, and of course bikes! The staff is familiar with the products they sell.
Customer Service: Great staff! The owner Phil is a stand up guy..takes care of his employees and has a vested interest in the customer. Personable, knowledgeable staff can help you out with all your questions/concerns. A place where you can go to get information about a new part, an upgrade/mod, or new purchase without the immediate pressure of buying it now. It's clear they understand that by taking that extra moment with you to find out what product or service will best fit your needs is best for their business and your experience, and that will make you want to buy it there.
Other Comments: Too many shops these days still have that unsolicited over opinionated snob attitude from behind a counter, or are just way pushy and serious about making that sale now! Biking is supposed to be fun!!!..refreshing to visit a shop that still knows how to keep it real.

Shop Summary: Breakaway has lots to offer in a reasonable price range including mountain, road, bmx, and dirt jump bikes and even kid's bikes. The guys at Breakaway ride the same bikes and components that they carry, and are great riders. So when they show you a bike or bike part, you know that it is right for you.
Customer Service: Customer service is awesome, they will always help you with issues on a new bike. They are also very good about guarantying their work, as long as it wasn't caused by the rider of course.
Other Comments: great shop

Shop Summary: Smaller shop carrying mostly mountain bikes, Hybrids, and Cruisers. Though staff is knowledgeable in all bikes ranging from bmx, road, single speeds, dirt jumpers, and are definitely advocates of 29" mountain bikes. They offer full service including fork & shock rebuilds, overhauling bottom brackets, hubs, headsets, and wheel builds. Great folding tire and grip selection.
Customer Service: Non-intimidating atmosphere. Staff are willing to listen to your needs and try to find a solution.
Other Comments: Overall great experiences each time I'm in. The employees will actually search through the back and find a strange part and not give you the whole "we can order it" routine.
