Shop Summary:
As the first poster said, this shop has the latest in technology. The personnel are always ready to help the customer even when the result may not be a sale. They appear to be in for the love of the sport.

Customer Service:
While the selection is top notch, customer service is what makes this shop. I've come in with an esoteric problem that virtually cannot be solved in one visit and on more than one occasion I have been provided with good temporary solutions (band-aid) and a list of valid options for a long term permanent fix. All of this usually at little or no cost.

Shop Summary:
Bobcat cycles is a great shop hidden away in Salinas, they have great stock and offer sound advice. They carry a wide selection of some and the owner BobCat is a grat guy to talk to. He is not afraid of new technology and often has tried the most cuttin edge bikes. I bought my 96er there, Bobcat suggested it would be a great bike for my needs and in hind sight I have to agree. They have the big tired sand bikes, 29ers, and a wide selection of street and mountian bikes.

Customer Service:
nothing but the best. I had a friend take a bike there for service, and they declined doing some of the stuff we thought we wanted because they felt the return on our investment would not be there and we would not see the difference. Not often you see a shop turn away business for the good of the customer.

Other Comments:
A fun place to visit, Salinas is on the way to Monerery, and Fort Ord, so check them out. Plus there is a nice downtown area walking idstance from the shop, so it makes a nice lunch stop.
