Shop Summary:
Danville Bikes is a great place to buy a bike. You get free tunings for life and the employees are pretty nice, although one is really annoying. I wouldn't go in there to get stuff fixed though. Every time I've been in there Jose has @#%& me. I went in for them to tune my rear derailuer and Jose bought me a new one, twice. Also for no resone he got me brand new x9s I didn't need.

Customer Service:
Pretty good. What sucks though is that if you bring your bike in a say Sunday they'll wait 'till Thursday or Friday to work on it. Its nice that some of the guys there host a weekend ride there that is open to everyone.

Other Comments:
Don't get stuff fixed. Either do it yourself or go to pegasus of mikes bikes because Jose will @#%& you.

Shop Summary:
DB bikes is the only bike store that I will go to for now on. They have a great selection of MTB's and stock high end models.

Customer Service:
Jose made my day when I went to purchase my Anthem 29'er, he built it and had me on the trail the same day while, other shops wanted to charge me more and order it. Since the purchase Jose has been extremely helpful after the sale. I broke a fitting on my hydraulic seat post, called the Pleasanton, Livermore shops to order the replacement part. But, no one knew what I was talking about or seemed to care. Called Jose and he quickly said "I already got the part", went in the next day and told him "I would like to work on my own bike as much as possible", so he gave me some great advice and a bleed kit.

Shop Summary:
Danville bikes is a small shop with a lot of bikes, especially in their new location. They have more downhill oriented bikes than any other bike shop in Danville. They also seem to have cheaper prices on stuff than the two other Danville bike shops. If you want a downhill, dirtjump, bmx, or all mountain bike you should probably look at Danville bikes.

Customer Service:
Customer service is where Danville bikes fails. Although the employees are nice enough they seem fairly uninterested in actually helping customers and more interested in talking to each other. But what really pissed me off about their service was what a sloppy job they did of bleeding my brakes. I would have bleed the brakes myself but I couldn't find a bleed kit anywhere and at Danville bikes they only charge 10 bucks per caliper to bleed brakes (compared to 30 at Pegasus). When i picked my bike up after the brakes were bleed I found brake fluid all over the calipers and fork. If you get brake fluid on the pads you have to replace them (luckily mine are ok) and brake fluid in the fork can destroy the oil in it. I did not expect such a sloppy job from "professionals"

Other Comments:
Danville bikes is probably fine if your looking to buy a bike. But when it comes to having them work on your bike, either do it yourself, or save up some money and take the bike to Pegasus.

Shop Summary:
Danville Bike is always my first choice for bikes, parts, clothes and maintenance and repairs. Prior to becoming a DB customer, I had purchased 3 hybrid bikes from another Danville shop in 2006. Despite buying 3 bikes, I was nickeled and dimed on every purchase and repair.

A year later, I bought a road bike from Jose at DB. The price was substantially below list, and when I did some comparison shopping, Jose was quick to price match. Over the years since, he has done all my minor adjustments without charge, and when I've needed repairs, he usually does them while I wait, and the charges are always reasonable.

At one point, I got a steal on on new wheels I bought over the internet. Even though the wheels were new, they were not purchased from a dealer, and so I did not have full warranty protection. Even though I didn't buy the wheels at DB, Jose still got the manufacturer to rebuild the wheels for me at no charge. He handled the shipping and reinstallation all gratis, even though he didn't sell me the wheels. What other bike shop would do that for a customer?

If you want a bike shop where the owner and his employees are knowledgeable, friendly and fair, then Danville Bike is the place to shop, bar none.

Shop Summary:
When i decided to plop down serious cash for my first "nice" bike, i researched around. After calling a bunch of LBS for the 2009 Giant Anthem 2, Danville Bikes was the only one that had it in stock. Talked with Jose and he let me loose for a test ride. After the ride, i knew this was the bike for me. The best thing was the bike was on sale. Woot Woot. I have already been on 6 rides since buying the Anthem. Great Bike, Great service and Great products. Highly recommended.

Customer Service:
Chat with Jose. He is the owner. Hose threw in a free shock pump when i purchased my bike. Thats sweet considering it works better than my friends $40 shock pump. hehehe I also swapped out the seat clamp for a quick release, for FREE! Awesome service.
