Shop Summary:
Small shop in Castro Valley. Retails alittle more to Road low end XC bikes. They dont cary much high end MTB's many bikes are low end commuters, beach cruisers etc. The high end MTBs are over priced and are very sparce.

Customer Service:
I have never had a bad experiance witht the shop. Nice guys, really know what they are talking about. But again the shop is more road oriented. Differnt feel compared to a FR/DH shop. Seem not to know much about the FR and DH scene and what goes on outside the road bike community.

Other Comments:
Everything is reasonalby priced. Except the bikes... If you want a quality road bike go to Eden and they will hook you up. But if you want a high end mtb demo somewhere else and buy online. LBS's are over rated.

Shop Summary:
Very knowledgable pertaining to mountain bikes. Explained to me the differences between cross country and downhill full suspension bikes. They identified the correct type of bike for me by listening to me.

Customer Service:
All the guys down there are friendly, courteous, and go out of there way to assist my needs. Tire repair kits, suggesting spare parts to carry, bike pump, clothing, etc.

Other Comments:
I took advantage of the one year free financing program. I was able to purchase a upgrade model.

Shop Summary:
Seeming at first to be a boutique road-only shop, having taken a closer look at this relatively small bike shop I have found that it also caters to the mountain bike enthusiast just as well as your knobby only shop. This shop does have a small quantity of bikes but it seems that they have a bike for everyrider, the previous reviewer stated that they do not have a roadie for the rider with a budjet under 3k but that clearly cannot be true seeing as Giant makes a bike for every rider in the market. Furthermore, I do not see how the shop can be labeled as one "having few tools" because the only repair that they could not do in house that I have ever seen is a Fox Fork overhaul seeing as how Fox prefers to do them themselves. As for disk brake bleeds and bearing overhauls? I've had these done at Eden Bikes with nary a problem. For me Eden is my LBS and a shop I give my loyalty as proven by my 2 road bikes and 2 mountain bikes I have purchased from them over the years.

Customer Service:
This shop fulfilled my requirements for the LBS: a kind and friendly staff who are very knowledgable about bikes and have that enthusiasm that gets me excited to ride, and regarding theyreLooking at the previous review makes me shake my head in disgust at the naievety of the reviewer for if the reviewer had taken the time to develop a relationship with those working there and had acutally voiced a question regarding the fit system he would have found that the person in charge of fitting has the experience to "eye ball" a fit and not use a computer generated or mechanically conjured system as some other shops do.

Other Comments:
I am not your hardcore roadie nor am I a body armor fitted downhill shredder, I am a middle age father of 2 who enjoys riding mountain bikes and road bikes because the fact that it allows me to enjoy a full cardio workout without sacrifising my joints and my bum knee. I find it disgusting that the person who should be providing an informative "at a glance" view of the shop instead provided an unjustly critical review. Sweet shop and sweet crew!
