Shop Summary:
Great shop with great service.

Customer Service:
I am a huge fan of good service and I have been beyond happy with Chris Lanes (owners) service. He ordered me a frame, fork and custom wheels for a bike I am building. I initially was going to go with a set of chris king hubs but when Chris Lane got the hubs he noticed the color of the front and rear hub didnt totally match. He sent me a picture to confirm whether I was ok with them. I wasn't and he sent them back twice until we gave up on chris king and went with another brand. He could have just built the wheels and expect I would be happy with them. Instead, he went through a lot of trouble to make sure. He also would followup regularly to let me know the status of all the parts (the parts took several weeks).

Other Comments:
They have a customer for life.

Shop Summary:
I only went in to Roaring Mouse Cycles because they had the bike I was looking to buy in stock, otherwise I prefer to support my local bike shop in Mill Valley. I’m glad I did though as I ended up buying the bike from Roaring Mouse and had a wonderful experience as well.
Chris Lane’s (owner) attention to detail and level of personal support were unmatched by any shop I have ever done business with. He got me a great deal on a Spot single speed. When it came in I could tell the geometry wasn’t quite right. So he told me to ride it for a few weeks and then come back in. When I did I could tell him exactly what needed changing so he swapped out a new set of bars and stem form a demo bike and told me to go ride it a few more weeks. After repeating this process a few more times we had everything dialed in. I then ordered my permanent bar/stem combo, confident that the fit was right on.
The rest of the crew at Roaring Mouse were just as professional. The mechanic seemed to really know what he was talking about as opposed to some kid just learning how to work on bikes. He gave me some great advice on how to break-in my new brakes and how to service and tension the belt drive on the Spot.
I would not hesitate to recommend the shop to any of my friends. The beautiful location in the Presidio is an added plus.

Shop Summary:
I contacted the owner, Chris, of Roaring Mouse during my recent search for a new bike. I found him through recommendations on this site & through Betterride.net. I was looking at Pivot Mach 5.7 and Ibis, and he carried and seemed to know a lot about both. Spent a lot of time on the phone with me, giving thoughtful answers to my questions. Like all other dealers I contacted, he didn't have a demo of either in my size BUT he offered to build one for me to try (if I committed to purchase from his shop of course). That was something no one else offered. I didn't end up purchasing from him as I have a super knowledgeable Ibis dealer closer to me, but if I were in the Bay Area (or if I had decided upon Pivot) I would most likely have purchased from this shop.

Customer Service:
Excellent overall experience!

Shop Summary:
Great selection, reasonable prices, super knowledgeable.

Customer Service:
These folks know there stuff and are very honest about tradeoffs when comparing bikes. Ended up with a custom build from them and couldn't be happier. They went the extra mile in many ways, really listened, and I ended up with exactly what I needed and won't have to upgrade anytime soon. Also, for a previous bike (that time, a commuter), they didn't have what I was looking for and recommended another shop without hesitation that was able to set me up.

Shop Summary:
Roaring Mouse has a great selection of bikes, at a wide range of prices, and accessories. The mechanics seemed to be very well trained and would help out someone who just rides by needing a quick adjustment. (I saw this a number of times while being fit on my bike.) Being active in the San Francisco cycling community, I have known about Roaring Mouse's great reputation for years, but this was my first bike-buying experience with them. The Mouse is definitely my new bike shop.

Customer Service:
I just bought a Lynskey Pro29 from Roaring Mouse, who had to order the bike from Lynskey. In three decades of buying bikes, this was the best, and most personal, bike buying experience I have had. The owner, Chris, was in constant contact with me by phone and e-mail, matched the manufacturer's best price online, and happily negotiated changes to my bike with the manufacturer. With this shop, you always get the straight story and solutions to issues that might come up with the manufacturer. I have ordered bikes through other shops and been given the run-around when things were delayed. Also, I never felt rushed to get anything done (like when I stood around for 20 minutes with different bike shoes on trying to figure out which one felt perfect.)
