This is the retail outlet of Adrenaline Bikes, the famous mail-order company. Overall, I'd say that although it is not the largest of shops, they more than make up for it by having tons of cool & unusual stuff that I haven't seen anywhere else locally. There is so much stuff squeezed into the shop that they look like they need to rent more space.
They advertise that they are the largest dealer world-wide for Yeti, Foes, Marin Full Suspension, etc. I counted 61 bike frames of all types hanging from their frame wall and from the ceiling, and about 60 assembled road and mountain bikes on display (Yetis, Merlins, Litespeeds, Lynskey Ti, Foes, Versus, Rocky Mountains, Brodies, and a lot of others.) There were none of the boring standard brands (Trek, Specialized, Cannondale, etc.) which was nice. They also had a large number of high-end parts (Over 100 suspension forks on display for example, including about 40 Fox models and even some unusual ones like Maguras.)
As far as bikes for sale go, they can sell you a heavily discounted bike build kit plus a frame, and allow you to swap-out and customize the parts. Then they'll assemble the bike for you in a few days. There is a folder on the counter that had lists of the various build kits with prices. They did not have all 14,000 items from their website on hand, but one of the guys said that they can have anything on the site 2nd-day aired to them for no extra charge to you if you put down a deposit. They don't keep a lot of clothes on hand, and no bikes below $600. (Most bikes were $900-$3,000.) Everyone seemed pretty knowledgeable, and there was a low-key, no-preassure atmosphere. (No high-preasure sales people.) Neal, the manager races cycle-cross, and competes in 12 and 24 hour races. Some of the other employees race too, but they were not the typical snotty elitist racer types.
Price-wise, they had some stuff at about retail, but almost all the bikes and many of the component parts were pretty heavily discounted. (Some of the bikes were half off for last year's models for axample.) I asked, and they said that they will match most competitor website/catalog prices.
Another local bike shop told me that they were all mail order, but I talked to the owner (Jim) who said that they actually sell about half of their stuff at the store. I picked up a blown-up copy of their ad from Mountain Bike Action magazine while I was there, which lists other bike brands that they sell: Mountain Cycle (which were all half off), Banshee, BMC, Salsa, Moots, Surley, Brooklyn, etc. They claim to sell over 100 brands of bikes, many by special order, which sounded bogus until I went to their website, which lists them all in the 'about us' section.
I'd say that even if you are just in the Orange County-L.A. area vacationing and do not need any bike stuff they are worth a trip to see, just because they have so many different bikes that you will probably never see in person elsewhere.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: Ive only dealt with this company from an online perspective so please keep that in mind.
Never been to the retail location. Customer Service: I don't often throw out crazy adjectives to describe customer service but I'll do so here. The customer service provided to me from Adrenaline Bikes (mostly through Jesse) was exemplary! In fact, Id go so far as to say in all my dealings with a variety of businesses Adrenaline has provided me with some of the best CS I've ever experienced.
To start off with, I'm a pretty new and raw mountain biker. I called Adrenaline and spoke with Jesse. I kept asking him novice questions and not once did I detect the slightest hint of elitism that is often prevalent in bike stores. (Why is that BTW). Not only was he patient but he went the extra mile to make sure I understood what he was talking about and what to expect.
I told Jesse that in a week I had a trip to Utah planned and hoped I could receive the bike before my scheduled departure. Being that it was a holiday weekend (July 4th) I wasn't giving Jesse and his crew much time to prepare! There was one minor snafu, the fork that comes with the package I ordered wasn't in stock and wouldn't be until after I had left. I received a phone call as soon as this problem was noted and sorted it all out. Additionally they threw in an Other Comments: Upgraded seat post free of charge!
The whole experience was great! The Customer Service was top notch, their Technical expertise was quite apparent! They were very knowledgeable and seemed to actually care that I got a bike that fit me and the riding I intended to do. (Putting the customer first... Who does that nowadays?!) They even called to mention that the shock had no air in it due to shipping. I wasn't expecting it to, but again they wanted to make sure I knew everything that was going on.
Just got the call with my tracking number. The entire experience was stellar! Highly recommended and will do business with again!

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: This is easily the best shop I have come across in Southern California. It's a small shop (maybe 1000 sq/ft or so), but it has a larger and higher-end selection than Performance and a lot of other shops in the area. As soon as you enter the shop, there's bikes everywhere; in racks, on the wall, in the service area...(I wouldn't be surprised if they started hanging them from the ceiling). As I said, they have a surprisingly large selection given the size of the store, and anything they don't have in stock, they can order, and usually have it there in a matter of 3 days or so. They'll sell you the right bike, too. They're not out to just get a nice bike out the door asap. They won't let you leave the store on a bike that doesn't suit you. That's one of their rules. Customer Service: The whole shop is full of guys that not only know what they're talking about and what they're doing, but they don't hesitate to treat you like one of their own (even if they can ride circles around me on a fixy single speed going uphill blindfolded). I mainly dealt with Jesse. He's a great guy. He helped me months ago when I was looking at a Yeti 575, and still was there to answer all my questions as I flopped back and forth trying to decide. We eventually decided on a different bike, a Bionicon Supershuttle, as the right bike for me (I'll write a review on that in a little bit). I recently went out with Jesse and the guys from Adrenaline to the loop up in Fullerton. Having not ridden in a while, you could say that I was keeping the animals that they are back a bit. Jesse hung back with me, and taught me a little biology, mechanics, and common sense, thereby managing to bring me from the brink of barfing my liver into someone's backyard, to having lots of energy to keep going. I can't thank him enough. If you go to adrenaline, you'll find probably the coolest guys in the biking circuit.

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: This place is a kick-butt shop. I deal with them almost on a weakly basis. I am the owner of Morris Custom Bicycles LLC, and I have had no trouble in any of the many transactions with this company. I often send Jesse, who woks there, on errands to find odd or specialty items that I need for my bikes. He always comes through for me. I like that they all seem to be up on the latest products. They know their stuff. I will continue to go there. Customer Service: Jesse rocks. They get things in the mail very fast. I always get orders within 3 days.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: I like the service and pricing a lot at this shop. The guys are also great about repairs and ordering parts. I ordered a 06 KHS AM1000 along with an upgraded rear shock on this baby and it was set up perfectly. Had no problems with the bike or dealings with this shop at all. Gotten a bunch of stuff from this shop and its always a breeze. Customer Service: Best shop I've dealt with ordering bike parts from. Adrenaline rocks! Other Comments: Very pleased with my purchases.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: I have only experienced these guys from a mail order perspective. Overall, I had a positive experience ordering up my dream bike and having it shipped to my doorstep. Their prices are hard to beat, and they are very willing to modify any factory build kit to your specifications. I appreciated their knowledge and advice as well. Customer Service: I imagine there are some organizational hurdles with keeping a purchase order together when it is constantly being modified. I must have changed my mind 10 times before I finally settled on the right build kit for my new Yeti 575. These guys took it all in stride and even surprised me with their customer service. Thanks Adrenaline! Other Comments: My bike rocks!! Im not sure why the chain broke on my first ride... No prob, she's fixed now!
