Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: Came in and asked them to put two new tires on my Cannondale, they charged me 15 bucks each to put a tire on. Told me they would have it done in 2 hours...came back in two hours and they had not started it yet...took five minutes to put the tires on....5 minutes 30 bucks....I am newbie to the bike world but it seems to me that is an extreme price for 5 minutes of work.

Weekend Warrior Other Comments: I just moved to San Diego and went to California Bicycle for my annual tune up. When I brought my bike in, the person I dealt with had a look at my bike and said a minor tune up was all that was necessary. I was told a basic tune-up (one set up from minor) was around $40. When I picked up my bike, I was charged over $100! I asked why and they said they adjusted my brakes, replaced my brake shoes and did a "safety check-over". I would have appreciated a more accurate estimate
I think this is far too much to charge for an annual tune-up. I will not be going back to California Bicycle and will not recommend it to my friends.

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: The entire crew at California Bicycle, led by Jason and Kevin, is a pleasure to work with. The shop carries a spectrum of products for the different disciplines of cycling AND for all size bank accounts. Their customer and tech services are bar none. They've consistently provided some of the best service in any industry over the many years I've been visiting their shop in downtown La Jolla. Whether your new to cycling, an aspiring pro, weekend warrior, or just a fan of the sport, you'll be comfortable at California Bicycle. Customer Service: California Bicycle is on point. Every person in the shop is capable and willing to assist any needs I've ever had. I moved away from the San Diego area for awhile and continued to purchase items from Cal Bike because of their exceptional level of service and knowledge.

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: Although they specialize in high end road bikes they are also very knowledgeable in MTB’s and take bike setup and fit very seriously. Customer Service: I have been dealing with Kevin for over 25 years and have never found anyone more knowledgeable and continually up to date with the latest in bicycling products. He has taken bicycle fitment to a new level. Other Comments: Family owned personalized service with attention to detail, friendly atmosphere and great selection of high end products.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: I have visited many of the local stores and this is bar none the best of the best. The family atmosphere and incredible knowledge of the staff members make it always enjoyable. The staff is always honest and friendly. They never seem to amaze me with the latest products on hand when I just had seen it it the mags! It seems that they have primarily high end road and family bikes but the mountain dept is growing. Customer Service: The customer service is great A+A+ Other Comments: they have been in business for 30 years and are well worth the drive.
