Shop Summary:
The shop is moderately equipped, nothing to write home about.
Stay away from the repair department. If targeted, they will stop at nothing to milk you for everything you are worth.

Customer Service:
I came in for a simple tune-up. diagnostics came up with 400 dollars worth of components and service needed immediately (cassette, chain, cables and housing etc.). A quick online search later revealed that the quoted prices were about 2.5x (!!!) normal retail. Additionally, they deliberately tampered with the shifter cables, trying to convince me that the shifters are completely broken and cannot be saved. I specifically declined shifter service. The repair shop later systematically accused several other components as unsalvageable, mind you this included the shifters once again. As my distrust grew, I eventually declined every service offered that was in excess of the tune-up. In the end, they still made me pay extra for "overhauling" the shifters (!) which now work just the same as they did before: worn but functional.

Shop Summary:
I have one word for you about this shop. Overpriced. They jack up all prices above MSRP for any components. I have a huge problem with that. I came in found all there Thomson Elite seatposts were $99.99 and last time I checked Thomson MSRP was $89.99. That same time was looking to buy new Sixsixone shoes and tagged it $10 above MSRP! What the hell is going on with this store? Clearly upper management is to blame. I know for dam sure I'll never buy anything from them.

Customer Service:
The actual sales people on the floor and mechanics are quite nice people. It's just a shame the components were purposely tagged above retail.

Shop Summary:
Previous reviews seem pretty accurate. Could use better selection of goods, narrow shoe/helmet selection.

Customer Service:
Best customer service in San Diego, all of the employees I've come in contact with have busted their a$$es to get the job done right (specfically Diego in their service shop). I swear I brought in a Campy road bike and SS MTB inside of a week and the service department knocked it out fast, perfectly and with a great price and attitude. Time and again they have come through with shoe special orders, brake parts, helmets and excellent bike service and assembly.

Shop Summary:
I used to work at this shop. I enjoyed my time there, but by the time I was let go (supposedly because I was "poorly performing in sales and cust service", even though I was one of the top sellers in the entire company), I realized this wasn't the place for me.

This is a shop that could be the best shop in San Diego...if they knew how to cater to a wider market. Decent selection of bikes and parts, but if you're anything more than a once-a-month rider, you probably will have to look elsewhere for a good selection of enthusiast parts.

Customer Service:
Good overall, however upper management has all their store managers and store employees by the balls. It's tough to get in a real conversation with any of the sales people because they've had the fear of god put into them that they should constantly be trying to get people to buy a bike, EVEN if they they walk in with their own for service.

Other Comments:
Like I said above - this shop COULD be the best in San Diego by a wide margin. During my time there, I came to discover that the people running this shop were very conservative with what products they brought in, and they primarily wanted to bring in budget crap that they knew people would buy. Many times, myself and the other sales guys would suggest they bring in certain products that we knew people were looking for. Almost every time we got shot down. One time, I was completely lied to by the vice president in regards to a special order I made for a customer.

They also refused to ever accept any other reason as to why sales were down other than their employees on the floor weren't doing their job. Trust me, we all busted ass out there, but when you refuse to bring in the products that people ACTUALLY WANT, there's not much we can do. They also were very conservative when it came to discounting or offering deals to repeat customers. Many times I lost sales because they would not bargain at all on a price.

I could go on, but MTBR cuts me off. In general, go elsewhere if you're looking for a good deal.

Shop Summary:
Great selection of parts and accessories. They have the top 3 brands of Mtbikes all in stock, with the entire spectrum of prices.

Customer Service:
This is were BW really shines. The entire staff has a passion for riding. The sales staff is very knowledgable(esp. Don. The Mecanics they have are a top notch. Every time I have taken my bike in to them I get a fast turn around, and it is tuned perfectly. They also take the time to talk to me about what is going on with the bike.

Other Comments:
I first went to BW to get a repair on my old hardtail. I was treated like a long time customer, even tho they don't sell the Brand I had. I have tried several other shops around town, and have not found an equal to BW's mechanics. This is a great LBS to have.
