Shop Summary:
Great selection! Normally it is impossible to find size smalls in stock, so I have to custom order a bike that I may not like. UC Cyclery had Rockhoppers, multiple Stumpjumpers, and multiple Epics in size 15.5. Was very skeptical about buying Specialized, but now I'm a convert. Will certainly consider purchasing my next road bike here. Plus, they host the SDBC ride every week, and provide great support to all those riders before they head out.

Customer Service:
I went in 3 times before purchasing my 2012 Stumpjumper Comp 29er HT, and all the staff were friendly on every visit. They pulled out 3 bikes for me to test ride. Tuned drivetrain and suspension on each bike, then weighed all of them for me on request. Adjusted stack height and saddle height multiple times without complaining. Could take the bikes anywhere in the neighborhood without having staff babysit me in the parking lot. I prefer Sram, so the shop agreed to switch any Shimano equipped bike to Sram for free. Gave me $500 off MSRP on a 2012 model, plus free installation of Stans tubeless kit. I was worried that the 80mm Reba fork would not be enough travel, so staff offered to convert it to 100mm for free if I didnt like it after a few rides. Finally, they did not pressure me to buy the most expensive bike that I tested.

Other Comments:
I've owned cannondale and trek in the past. I researched for a month before purchasing my stumpy, and couldn't find a similar deal from any of those dealers. Checked out Trek Superstore, Black Mountain Bikes, B&L, and REI. Was not impressed with either of them. UC Cyclery is the way to go, as long as you know how to bargain. They also carry Niner, but the deals on Specialized are so good, why bother. For no compromise on frame weight, components, and price, get a Specialized from UC Cylery.

Shop Summary:
Huge selection of Specalized bikes and a good stock of other bike parts and accessories.

Customer Service:
I came into this shop a couple times while I was looking for a new mountain bike to buy. The first time I came into the shop I was immediately asked by an employee how I could be helped. The employee started bragging about how big the selection of bikes was and how they offer better deals than any other bike shops in the area. (The bikes in the store a fairly overpriced). I thanked the employee for his help and said that I will just browse on my own. Immediately, another employee comes up and starts trying to sell me a bike. This just screams 'paid on commission' to me. I will say that my first visit to the shop did not really bother me that much. It was the second visit that really bothered me. I had several questions to ask about mountain bikes and the employee was talking down to me the entire time - as if I hardly knew what a bike was. On top of that, the employee couldn't answer all of my questions (which were very basic questions for other LBSs). The employee who helped me was more interested in selling me an expensive bike and not what I was interested in. He was persistently showing me $5000+ carbon fiber bikes when I wanted something around the $2500 mark.

Other Comments:
I cannot recommend this shop. I would advise people to only come here if they know exactly what the want/need and what it should cost before going in.

Shop Summary:
I had gone in to buy a 24 once water bottle, they had the polar which bought and paid for... while walking to my car I was approached by this short little employee who accused me of stealing the water bottle.I am a Real Estate Agent and 45 years old, I never thought I looked like a thief. First time that has ever happen to me and I will not ever go back to that store... not in a hundred years!

Customer Service:
What out for the short little guy!!!

Shop Summary:
I was pretty stoked when I found out there was a LBS right down the street from my place that kept a decent stock of parts on hand. After going there a couple of times, I realized I had no such luck. Everything is overpriced with a limited selection.

On one occasion, I bought several items from since I needed them immediately. I came back a few minutes later and asked if they could help loosed one side of my bottom bracket for me. They wanted $30...

Customer Service:
Other than the older man who I believe to be the owner, the employees I had encountered were all incompetent and unhelpful. You pretty much have to badger them to help you. The owner was nice and helpful, but other than that, they suck.

Shop Summary:
Shop has huge selection of specialized and giant bikes. Plenty of accessories.

Customer Service:
Customer service is very good. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgable. Prices are very reasonable compared to other San Diego Bike shops. They offer lifetime tune up on every bike they sell. That is what got me to buy my bike here. Can't beat that deal.
