Downhiller Shop Summary: A small shop where the guy you talk to behind the counter is the owner. Very straight forward, no BS, just good advice. Very laid back bunch of guys. Not too large of a showroom selection, but a great place for parts / work / special orders.

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: As far as I’ve seen, this is the only shop in Denver by riders, for riders. The larger places, (not to mention names like Turin or Bicycle Village) will attempt to sell you a bike, but Scott and the crew will actually take time to make sure you are looking at the right bike. Test rides are offered, and they allow demos. – nice, because trying a bike with 6” of travel on the street will not give an accurate picture.
Unfortunately, Denver is loaded with shops that cater to the half-step above Walmart crowd. If you are a real rider, check out Salvagetti, they are a real local shop.
Customer Service: Customer service is excellent. Scott actually took the time to figure out why a gearing problem I had was happening, rather than simply charging me for a bandaid solution. Other Comments: For riders, by riders.
