Racer Shop Summary: Average as Bike Shops go. Nothing special, just a typical strip mall bike shop.Terrible location to get there by bike, not even easy by car. I only went because they had bike I wanted and once I got there I wasn't impressed. Customer Service: Very nice teenage girl helped me on sale. Then the mechanic (maybe owner) has her do final tune and she was clueless (not her fault) but no mechanical experience. He should of double checked her new bike tune if he cared about the customer's bike and his employee's work. Too busy chatting about his ride/race whatever. Other Comments: I have been in bike industry for over 20 years.Raced road/mt bikes same amount of time.USCF Pro mechanic.I always judge a bike shop by.. would I send my wife their to buy a bike and answer is NO.

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: Fast quality work at a fair price. I am glad to find this shop. The workers are friendly and know their stuff. Have been there twice, first time just to check things out. Second time to get work done. Customer Service: Great customer service, I will be back.

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: Personable service, professional shop, carrying good brands of bikes (Kona, Intense, Rocky Mountain) They are involved in the community by being a major player in bringing back the bear creek race series. Great guys and a great shop. Customer Service: Top notch. They are some of the most personable bike shop folks (Pro Cycling is also great) in town and really want to make customers happy. They know their stuff. I was tired of dealing with high school kids with no experience helping me out....these guys have a niche and are good. Other Comments: Great shop!

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: I first met Pat and Clay a little over a year ago and I had no idea what i was doing. I didn't even know what i wanted. These two guys were so patient and knowledgable!!! even though i didn't know what bike i wanted, i knew i would prefer to do business with them because of their customer service. AFter countless conversations they made a suggestion and I eventually bought a Rocky mountain ETSX 50. I'm in love with it. Being a novice and a female, I felt very out of place at the other bike shops in the area. There were times i would walk in and see people just hanging out. I love the feeling of their shop and I will never take my business elsewhere. Customer Service: You can tell they love bikes and they want you to love them too. Other Comments: If you're a woman rider, it doesn't matter... they'll treat you the same as an experienced male racer.

Racer Shop Summary: I really appreciate walking into a shop where the owner will answer all my questions then wrench on my bike. Owners of shops like this tend to have a vested interest in their customers and provide better service. There's a good selection of soft and hard goods. What they don't have, they'll order it and it's there within days. Their demo fleet is growing which is awesome. I've purchased my last two bikes from them, one road and one mtn bike. Customer Service: I've been to every bike shop in Colorado Springs and the service Clay and Patrick provide is far superior to any other shop in town. They're extremely knowledgable in all aspects of cycling...road, mtn, cross, and even triathlon. They're experienced racers which also helps when making costly decisions. Other Comments: I live on the other side of town, with two of the "premier" shops within ten minutes of my house. I have to drive by two more big box stores to get to Ascent. The extra 15mins is well worth my time, knowing I'm getting great service, reasonable pricing and good selection of quality goods.
