I really can't believe I'm the first to review Green Mtn Sports. Anyway, If you want an awesome experience, from the owner to the guys in the shop, customer service is their priority. I bought a Yeti 575 from them and couldn't be happier, both with the performance of the bike but also with the way I way treated. A friend of mine was in there recently, and one of the guys in the shop..John I think, asked him about my bike..and how I should bring it in so he can check it out before we went on a trip to Utah. I think that's totally unheard of from most lbs'. Big THANKS again for everything guys!

Shop Summary:
Bought my ASR-5 from them, over the phone, just stopped by a week later and picked it up. It was after closing yet they took the time to set it up, walk me through it, answer all my questions.

Two weeks later I stopped by un-announced and they cleaned off a squeaky rear rotor and showed me how to do it, tightened up the headset that was mysteriously loose (hmm, now I do remember dropping the stem and loosening it, mmmm, ooops), and something else, all the while smiling and teaching me how to do everything myself.

Shop Summary:
I recently ordered a 2010 Yeti 575 Enduro from Green Mountain. I was pretty impressed when they told me that they would stop by the Yeti Factory and pick up the frame in person the very next day. Two days later they had the bike built up and ready to ride. I then scheduled a time with the owner to get properly fitted. He spent about 30 minutes with me on a trainer to align my knees with the pedal spindles and made sure that I was in the correct position relative to the geometry. I was again impressed that this kind of service was all part of their total bike purchase package.

A week into riding I started to notice a vibration from the rear hydraulic disk brake. It was so bad that it manifested itself throughout the entire frame. Needless to say, I was pretty upset. I took it back to Green Mountain for inspection. Sheldon and the shop mechanics spent numerous hours looking into the problem. They even went as far as rebuilding the rear end with a new triangle through Yeti’s warranty department. After all was said and done, the culprit ended up being a defective rear brake caliper from Shimano. The guys at Green Mountain hooked me up with an XTR caliper that they had in stock and the bike was back to normal.

Throughout the entire process, both Corky (owner) and Sheldon assured me that they would make it right one way or another. And they surely did. They remained patient and diligent throughout the entire painstaking process.

I came in on another occasion after bending my rear derailleur hanger and one of their mechanics took the time to show me how to bend it back properly using a Park Tool and allowed me to watch him readjust the derailleur.

The guys at Green Mountain have a great deal of knowledge and know-how that they are willing to share with their customers. You won’t find that at many bike shops.

Shop Summary:
I dropped my frame off (Jamis XLT...purchased online) to have some bearings pressed in. I was told by the guy in the shop that it would be done in a day or two. After a week, I never heard back from anyone and called them. The gentleman I spoke to said that someone had started working on it but did not finish it and stated that he would finish up the job and call me when it was done. Another week passed, and again, no call back. I called and spoke to the same gentleman and again, he gave me almost the exact same excuse and stated he would work on it and call me back. Another week passes by and AGAIN, NO ONE CALLED ME. I finally paid a visit and found that they were able to press the bearings in but they LOST a few reducers from my linkage, which rendered the bike unusable. The guy working the counter said that he would order the parts from Jamis and then call me but again, THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I confirmed that these guys had my correct cell number.

Customer Service:
I worked in several bike/ski shops when I was younger and have purchased from many more and I have never had such a POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE.

If you enjoy NO COMMUNICATION and INCOMPENTENCE then Green Mountain Sports if right up your alley. Avoid!

Shop Summary:
This shop is incredible and I can't say enough good things about it. I've been passionate about bikes for 31 year and worked in shops for many of those years. I can honestly say this is the best bikes shop I've been in. Ask yourself when was the last time you went into a shop and found incredible first hand knowledge AND a complete lack of arrogance. I bet you're hard pressed to think of one, but this shop has that and very reasonable prices as well. It's one of the few places of any sort that I actually wanted to give my money too. Go there and you will not be disappointed. It's a shop that's as much fun to hit as many trails. Oh, and not to be overlooked, they have a demo program that's the best you'll find.

Customer Service:
Their customer service is excellent. You never feel pestered, "sold", or abandoned and they take the time to discuss parts/bikes/frames in depth with customers.

Shop Summary:
My girlfriend and I have been visiting Corky and crew for our bicycle maintenance for about 5 seasons now - nothing but the best service by these guys! Always seem to really listen to us and help us out with different issues. I also bring them in beer from time-to-time - the techs seem to love this - and we may have one or two after hours while bs'ing about riding. Reasonable prices and their work shows great attention to detail! *** A note to the previous reviewer: I am sure they were psyched to receive your letter, but why would they need to write a "thank you" for your "thank you"? Doesn't make sense to me. You received great service and thanked them, right? Well, if I were you, I would continue to go there for their service and continue to thank them for a job well done! Dude, no need to look for your own kudos because you wrote a nice letter - just appreciate a job well done as it is hard to find nowadays. *** Ranting aside, I will continue to visit these guys for a job well done - even if they don't thank me because they did a great job.

Customer Service:
The best around
