Shop Summary:
These guys are douche-nozzles. There is really no other way to put it.

Customer Service:
They make fun of beginner and intermediate riders. They only want to sell them overpriced t-shirts with their stupid peach or dinosaur logo.

Other Comments:
Don't go there unless you are an elite snob who wants to be a dick to most of the cycling community.

Shop Summary:
I live in Grand Junction, and even though there are many local shops much closer to my home, I consider OTE to be my personal favorite, and the BEST shop in the Grand Valley. I will gladly drive the extra miles to visit OTE.

Customer Service:
I recently bought a new Ibis Mojo from OTE, and aside from a serious pricing mistake made during the ordering process by the manager, the entire process from order through delivery was flawless. The bike even arrived sooner than anticipated and I was able to be present during the assembly, as long as I didn't ask questions or otherwise bother the mechanic.

The chief mechanic at OTE is probably the best mechanic I have encountered in many years. He's knowledgeable about almost all brands and models and willingly provides assistance to people who walk in with problems, usually for minimal cost if any. It's obvious that this is his career, and he's not just hanging out between school semesters. Truly a Master at his chosen field.

Other Comments:
A great selection of bikes and products, and amazing knowledge of all the local (Grand Valley & Moab) trails. Lots of maps and guide booklets. The owner of OTE is extremely active in the local cycling scene and the Fruita trail system. OTE sponsors the annual Fruita Fat Tire Festival, which remains the BEST of all the bike festivals West of the Continental Divide, IMHO.

Shop Summary:
Very fair and courteous. Myself, and two of my friends could easily have been taken advantage of - instead, the mechanics got right on their bikes so they could ride within a couple hours. Good service.

Customer Service:
Excellent customer service. The frame of my personal bike broke - The staff got me back out on the trails immediately so that I could finish our late afternoon ride and also ride the next morning. The bike was in excellent shape and quality with a more than fair price. When 1200 miles away from home with a broken frame, a person is at the mercy of the shops. I was treated great here in contrast to Poison Spider in Moab. Should have just continued to do business at Over the Edge.

Shop Summary:
A very good shop in my opinion. I've had experience with a lot of bad shops, and chose to make this my "local" shop even though i lived 2 hours away. Always a nice staff, never felt like i was dealing with a used car sales man. Bought my cameleon from them, and i think they were as excited when the bike came in as i was.

Customer Service:
it's been great for me. helped me get my new frame and get all the specs for future part orders. gave great trail advice even when i wasn't buying anything.

Other Comments:
i can't speak for bike rentals, but i've NEVER rented a mtn bike that didn't have some ghost shifting, or squeking or something. and as for the previous comment, i hope that flat tire you complained about was flat pre-ride...b/c i'm pretty sure flats on the trail aren't garanteed by the shop not to happen.

Shop Summary:
Great shop. They ride the bikes they sell, and will give advice that is based on their personal experience. Bottom line they don't just sell hype, they sell sell and ride what they know.

Customer Service:
Top notch customer service. Not many shops have the ability or know how to service a blown shock in less than an hour. My experience has been that the staff at OTE will not only ride with you, they will also do whatever they can to keep your bike going while you're there. They seem to get the fact that alot of people are making trips/vacations to ride trails in the area.

Other Comments:
It's amazing how easy it is to make friends with beer. How cool is it to take a six pack to a bike shop and drink it with the crew!
