Cross Country Rider Customer Service: FU OTES!!! I was Visiting from NorCal and heard great things from Orange Peel in Steamboat Springs, but upon entering I was dissed by some clerks there. I was a total tourist, but that does not mean I did not want to spend money in the store. Service was bad and I was asked not to move there like othere Californians. Guess what? I'd rather rub my balls with High Desert cactus than move to that armpit. FU OTES!!!

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: These guys are douche-nozzles. There is really no other way to put it. Customer Service: They make fun of beginner and intermediate riders. They only want to sell them overpriced t-shirts with their stupid peach or dinosaur logo. Other Comments: Don't go there unless you are an elite snob who wants to be a dick to most of the cycling community.

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: I live in Grand Junction, and even though there are many local shops much closer to my home, I consider OTE to be my personal favorite, and the BEST shop in the Grand Valley. I will gladly drive the extra miles to visit OTE. Customer Service: I recently bought a new Ibis Mojo from OTE, and aside from a serious pricing mistake made during the ordering process by the manager, the entire process from order through delivery was flawless. The bike even arrived sooner than anticipated and I was able to be present during the assembly, as long as I didn't ask questions or otherwise bother the mechanic.
The chief mechanic at OTE is probably the best mechanic I have encountered in many years. He's knowledgeable about almost all brands and models and willingly provides assistance to people who walk in with problems, usually for minimal cost if any. It's obvious that this is his career, and he's not just hanging out between school semesters. Truly a Master at his chosen field. Other Comments: A great selection of bikes and products, and amazing knowledge of all the local (Grand Valley & Moab) trails. Lots of maps and guide booklets. The owner of OTE is extremely active in the local cycling scene and the Fruita trail system. OTE sponsors the annual Fruita Fat Tire Festival, which remains the BEST of all the bike festivals West of the Continental Divide, IMHO.

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: Very fair and courteous. Myself, and two of my friends could easily have been taken advantage of - instead, the mechanics got right on their bikes so they could ride within a couple hours. Good service. Customer Service: Excellent customer service. The frame of my personal bike broke - The staff got me back out on the trails immediately so that I could finish our late afternoon ride and also ride the next morning. The bike was in excellent shape and quality with a more than fair price. When 1200 miles away from home with a broken frame, a person is at the mercy of the shops. I was treated great here in contrast to Poison Spider in Moab. Should have just continued to do business at Over the Edge.

Racer Shop Summary: I bought both my mountain bike and road bike from Over the Edge in Grand Junction. They were awesome in helping me find the right bike for me and swapping out anything I wanted. Very comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff, plus its close to all my favorite riding spots in GJ, a must stop before, during, or after a ride. I won't go to any other shop in GJ after doing buisness here!! Customer Service: Awesome, fair, and courteous customer service. They treat you right and really appreciate your buisness. They're willing to get anything in stock that you request in order to earn your buisness. Other Comments: If your coming in from out of town and are headed to Fruita or Moab you should consider spending some time in GJ first. There is some awesome riding, road and mountain, that is mostly undiscovered by non locals. I love to explore the area and find new, exciting places. The employees at Over the Edge can give you some ideas as well, cross country, Free Ride, or downhill.
