Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels)
that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your
customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML
code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»
Dave's Cycle
Family shop on the outside with a good group of guys on the inside.
Pending manufacturer's, other brands are available. Also known to carry Waterford / Gunner, Yeti, Seven, Ventana.
The shop is always fairly busy, best to hit on a week day, Sunday or Thursday night. Also can't hurt to call ahead. Not a lot of small goods eye candy but always willing and able to order. Good pricing and willing to help above and beyond expectation to those who offer an ounce of courtesy. Mechanical ability beats the pants off a few near by shops.
Group mtb ride wed. nights. Also has strong relationships with roadies though not familiar with road rides.
Overall a good shop with good guy's and good intentions.
Shop Summary: I love this shop. Last year I purchased a Giant bicyle and the staff was friendly, and knowledgable. I live in White Plains and went to shops closer to home and I was not pleased with the service. These guys are great I will only use them for future service and I would highly recommend them!

Shop Summary: Forced to shop here b/c it's the closest Seven dealer, and since owner has Seven, I started with high hopes. Those hopes were dashed for a number of reasons, not least of which were the fault of Seven, but this shop worked to rip me off. Despite a good number of high-end road bikes, once they let the roadie go in the winter, nobody could figure out how to work the fit kit properly. Once I got he Seven, the build was a nightmare: wrong bars, wrong saddle, wrong seat post.
To add insult to injury, they charged me approx $3,000 for a Dura Ace build kit, but I supplied the wheels!! Market price for a D/A kit w/ wheels is $2,200-2,800 depending on how high end the wheels are. He charged me twice for a bunch of stuff, but instead of refunding me, he'd give $300, here, $100 there... I called him out on it THREE times!! Finally I said: "Glen, WTF?" He gave me a lame story about rent and all... hey, not my problem and no reason to try to rip me off!!
I will never step foot in this place, but for those who continue to patronize his store, just watch the bills!
Customer Service: Good, but you have to stay on top of them for EVERYTHING. Never, not once did I get an incoming call from the shop, not even when my Seven frame arrived.
Other Comments: I agree with the other comment, that if you treat these guys respectfully, they will return in kind. Given that the demographics of Cos Cob / Greenwich suck (too many wankers with nasty attitudes), they like nice customers... and beer.

Shop Summary: Lived in 4 states in the last 5 yeards and I found this shop a few months before I ended up moving out of CT which was a shame because it wsa one of the better shops that I ended up in over 4 states.
There are many great shops in the area, but this one quickly became my favorite because they had what I needed and were so helpful when I walked in. You will always feel welcome there and someone is ready to help you out (assuming they aren't swamped with customers).
They know what they are doing and the prices seeemed fair to me.
Customer Service: You will be treated like family.
Other Comments: They organize and promote a group ride at the local trail.
