Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels) that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»
Bicycle Jones

A full service bike shop that carries Felt, Kona, Trek, Bianchi, and more. Need your downhill rig set up? Go on on in. Need your circa '88 Campy equipped road bike rebuilt from the ground up?? They'll do it! Chris Jones can fix anything with pedals and a great deal more. Too many bike shops have "parts hanger's" as opposed to mechanics - Deal with a bike shop that gets it right the first time.

Shop Summary:
A small shop, but with a strong focus on the customer. Good selection of bikes on hand, both road and MTB, though you probably won't find a high dollar rig in stock. Felt and Trek are the primary bikes for off-road riding. Stock is a little low now as the model years are switching over. Young, but good mechanincs in the shop area, in addition to Chris Jones, the owner. Parts on hand are limited, but they have the basics there, and can order anything you need. Good selection of LG and Fox apparel for men and women. Best of all, they are open on Sunday from 12 to 4, usually with a mechanic on site. No other shop even thinks about that.

Customer Service:
My experience has been their Customer Service is very good. They are all very friendly and offer up assistance right away. Kudos to Nancy, co-owner and wife of Chris, as she has such a great attitude. She is very supportive of all rider levels, and very encouraging to those less skilled. She has welcomed my wife to ride with her, giving great advice.

I recently discovered this shop, long after purchasing and nearly completing all my upgrades on my 08 Stumpie FSR. If I had known about Bicycle Jones sooner, I would have steered much of my money to this LBS. They may not beat the Internet in price, but the service is tremendous.

Other Comments:
Great place to check out. The customers range from Roadies to MTB'rs to BMX'rs to Comfort bike folk. Stop in. The personal touch may surprise you.

Shop Summary:
The shop itself is of moderate size and selection. My experience is that if you want something specific, you'll have to order it. The customer service is sporadic at best. We order two bikes and were told they'd be in in about a week. After several phone calls by me and several times stopping in, they finally realized that the order was never properly placed (2 weeks later). So finally after correctly completing my order, my bike came about a week later. However, the wrong bike was sent for my wife. The shop says it was an error on the side of the vendor but after the foul up on the inital order, I have my doubts. So they re-order my wife's bike. 2 weeks later, still no bike. I finally get a call bck from the owner saying that no bikes in stock in the country to my wife's specs (granted, it took 2 additional weeks or 5 total to tell me that). We found the bike at another store in stock and purchased from them.

Some components seem overpriced (bike computers, etc.) while others seem comparable to competitors' stores.

Customer Service:
The customer sevice in the store is great. They seem to really want to help. Some of the employees are a little young and maybe a little less knowledgable than one would hope for a bike shop, but they are still eager to help. The owner is the only person who handles the ordering and order status when there is a problem (which is problematic since he seems to be rarely there). Issues will always arise when dealing with vendors and distributors, but I feel this shop needs to learn how to communicate better when problems do arise.

Other Comments:
I did purchase my bike here and hope to be able to bring it here for tune-ups w/o problem, but I just hope they improve on their problem areas.

I give them an overall rating of 2 because of teh customer service issues and ordering issues. Technical rating is a 3 because I haven't had experience with them on that aspect, so it's neither positive nor negative.

Shop Summary:
Great place shop for all your biking needs. Starting out? They will help you. Experienced? They will work with you. I've seen Chris and his staff work with all sort of riders. Good people. I’ve shopped around too. Bicycle Jones has great pricing. If they don’t have it, they’ll order it. It’s a feel good bike shop.

Shop Summary:
These guys won't sell you anything you don't need. Go in and tell them what you need and you get a no-nonsense answer. They'll also let you know about all the good places to ride and the best spots on the local "Rails-to-Trails" spot The Silver Comet. Chris' wife, Nancy will make your wife at ease with cycling if like mine, she's inexperienced. They're stocked with bikes from almost every cycling niche; Bianchi S-Speeds to Kona long travel rigs to Dura Ace equipped carbon Felts. Can't say enough about how much they'll do for their customer's.

Customer Service:
For those bringing in the $80 Wallyworld special and expecting to get it fixed for $5-this isn't your kinda place. Then again, you're not likely to be on MTBR reviewing the shop anyway,LOL. Seriously, go in and just ask some questions and you'll instantly be at ease because this is the kind of shop that makes cycling better.
