Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels) that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»

Shop Summary:
Bigger bike store for chicago standards. Whoever posted the first review for this catastrophy of a store either owns it or works there. This place is notorious among chicagoans for being crap. Local Chicago reviews destroy this place and rate it poorly for primarily bad service. I ignored these reviews when I first moved here and went there b/c it was close and looked like a familiar, comfortable outfitter. I dealt with the biggest idiot, fixed gear riding hipster that had a problem speaking and seemed to be a mute. All I can say is that you better know exactly what you need beore you go there or be prepared to be taken advantage of because the "cool" bike messenger posers are to "cool" to talk to you. Chicago cyclery, or crosstown bikes is undoubtedly the way to go. I just hope nobody checking this review is in need of real mountain bike part on their way to someplace with an elevation change. . . . . b/c they have plenty of dingy bells, fenders, bike locks, and road bikes, just don't expect any kind of inventory to help you out. Take it from me, trust the reviews. As lame as it sounds, even the parking lot validation is a pain.
