Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: Great setup with all ranges and types of bikes. Good brand variety. I go to the Broadway and Wellington location; it has a friendly staff. Customer Service: They have top mechanics. They have fixed many complex problems I have caused with my lack of expertise. Quick turn around on repairs and orders. Other Comments: Highly recommended.

Racer Shop Summary: This true Chicago northside shop has two locations - they both carry good lines of inventory and follow the niche needs from the urban commuter to the downhill racer. You can get an excellent out of the box commuter and all the accessories to boot for cold weather commuting in Chicago or you can get a top of the line latest race day bike spec'd out to your needs for your biggest race goals. This shop follows the community needs and cycling trends closely to meet the needs of the diverse community in Chicago. Customer Service: The customer service in this shop is OUTSTANDING. Both locations are in very densely populated urban areas with an equally diverse clientele - from the latino popsicle vendor who pushes a cart and needs a new tire gets treated just as well as the racer boys and girls who need their Zipp wheelsets worked on. The shop is very informative to all their customers and don't try to upsell unecessary items to customers - they inform their customers well and value repeat customers. Other Comments: I do race mountain bikes competetively and this shop has served all my needs well from full on bike purchases that are fuly customized and a mechanics staff that has worked with my racing needs to the fullest extent of their ability. They take note of riders preferences and needs and work to give the best solution and service possible to meet those needs.
You'll be hard pressed to find a shop that can cater to endurance, downhill, cyclocross, and bmx bike needs as well as this shop does in the actual city limits of Chicago. There's a reason racers frequent this shop and get the goods they need.
