Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels)
that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your
customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML
code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»
Little Ade's
In 1980, Little Ade's Bike Shop started in a garage in Pekin, IL. Since then, Ades has always offered the best products and services possible. They invite everyone to stop by and talk about trail riding, single speeding, racing, or whatever you latest adventure may be.
Little Ade's is committed to supporting cycling in central Illinois. Be sure to check out PAMBA (PAMBAMTB.ORG) for the latest in racing and trail care. Also, check the Ade's site for the latest from the local park district, including Ramp Camp.
Special orders, custom builds, no problem. We ride what we sell.
We sell Kona, Raleigh, Specialized, Ventana, Titus, Diamond Back, Jamis, Ellsworth, Foes, and many more.
Shop Summary: Grew up going to Little Ade's. Haven't been there in a while, I now live in St Louis. But it sounds like it's the same shop with a lot of the same staff as it did when I used to frequent it 10 years ago. My parents still live in the area and I wish I could get my stuff together enough to get it serviced there.
Customer Service: Bought my first mountain bike, a GT Timberline FS, back in 1994 here. When I upgraded to a Avalanche in 98, I went to Little Ades. It was last years model. They tracked one down and I saved a ton of money. I rode that same bike last night. Although I haven't been there in a while, I miss this shop. Full of great guys with a great selection and great service.
Other Comments: Long live Little Ade's!

Shop Summary: You will not find a better bike shop around here. Friendly faces but not in your face like other local shops. Take your time, test ride some bikes, and shoot the crap with the locals, Little Ades is one of a kind and more like a shop out west rather than the midwest.
Customer Service: Superb

Shop Summary: One thing I would add , Is that the Little Ades guys, all have different riding styles. Some guys ride rigid single speed mountain bikes , some ride full suspension , and some ride Bmx style bikes. They also have a great selection of "roadies" as well . The bottom line is , no matter your riding style , they have a very knowledgeable staff.Though its been mentioned already , these guys love to ride,to me thats important because they are keeping up with all the current trends, and when an MTB nut comes in , they feel right at home there .They have a great selection of brands Kona,Specialized , etc,and also have all the gear you would need.
Customer Service: I wouldnt take my car to someone I dont know , and the same goes for LAs .When they say it will be ready it usually is,and guarantee all their work.
Other Comments: Central Illinois has other bike shops , but Little Ades is more like the old school shops we grew up with .You can buy a bike at Dicks , but theres no guarantee the people know anything about the bike itself. And good luck asking them a bike geek question and not getting the "eyeball".

Shop Summary: Place is cool, FULL of bikes and gear. The service department is not out back, it's practically part of the showroom so you can talk to a tech if you need to while they're working on other bikes. I live over an hour away and stopped in on a fluke once and have been doing business there ever since.
Deone, Mike and the boys don't just give you the old "stand over the bike, foot on the pedal" fitment for new bikes that most looser shops give you, and since these guys ride better than most, they know that the expensive bling gear for is for accessory, and they can show you how to do it better and cheaper.
These guys ride
Customer Service: The service department is basically part of the showroom so home mech's feel pretty comfortable and welcome there. Plus, they know what they're doing. Since the service isn't behind a closed door out back, if you need some emergency advice on how to do something, you can ask'em without them having to stop working on the "other guys" bike. Kinda nice since nest time you might be the other guy, waiting on your bike.
Other Comments: Friendly place, knowledgable without being pretentious. I hate goping to a shop and being talked down to, even if the guy knows 100 times more than me I don't need to be talked to like I'm in the way. For these, it's not about makeing the sale, it's about helping out people who show an interest in sharing their sport.
And that's a place where you can be comfortable showing an interest in the sport.

Shop Summary: When I think of a true bike shop Little Ades is the first that comes to mind. There are plenty other local shops in central Illinois, but when you walk into Ades and look around you know that these guys are just like you and me...they actually ride their bikes and know what they are talking about. The owner, Mike Antonini, is a true stand up guy. He won't try to sell you something you don't need. In fact, I walked in planning on spending around 2K for a bike, but ended up saving a bunch of money because I was looking at a way over-kill setup. If you need some quick service on the bike they won't hesitate to drop what they are doing and help you right then and there. Really get that old school service which is so hard to find these days. One thing that really impressed me is that Ades only sells the bikes they want to sell. If they don't believe in a particular company, they won't sell their products. No sell outs at this place! Can't think of a single negative aspect.
Customer Service: Total old school. They stand by their products and will go out of their way to help a fellow rider out. Can't find another shop around that offers such good service.
Other Comments: The employees ride hard and often which is a big plus to me. I don't want some desk jockey giving me advice as to what to buy. They also support the local trails and try to make improvements that everyone can enjoy.
