Bloomington Cycle

Average Rating:    (4.25 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 4

Carries a number of brands across the spectrum of cycling -- mountain, road, comfort/hybrid, BMX, recumbents, trikes -- you name it, they have it. Good selection of parts. They cater to mountain bikers probably more than anything else.

Shop Summary:
Wow how this shop has changed in the last year or two, their main mechanic walked out this Spring and all they have are High School Kids turning wrenches.
They have a choice of 2 or 3 tires..Maybe. Everything is we'll order it and it'll be in next week.
The attitude is show me your money as soon as you walk in the door and they have mislead use on a couple of high dollar bikes.

Customer Service:
Very disappointing place to visit now days...Once upon a time is long gone.

Shop Summary:
The ownership of this shop changed on Jan 1st 2009 when the head mechanic/manager of the previous 4 or 5 years purchased it with his wife. Everything said in the older reviews still applies except fo,r the "owner tends to push" comment, that was the old owner. I'm partial as I know all the staff quite well so I'll keep my comments simple. Every employee as well as the owners ride, most of them enjoy many types of riding, and it shows. This shops staff loves bikes! They also have a very experienced repair staff (including one Barnett's graduate and another who's a lifelong bike mechanic) and can/will repair almost any bike. This is a great bike shop!

Shop Summary:
Great store very nice setup with all available types of bikes. Great friendly atmosphere. Located kind of behind small storefront building, but definately worth finding.

Customer Service:
Probably the best bike shop people I have talked to in five years. Very friendly and willing to go the extra mile just to show you different options, models, components, etc.

Other Comments:
If you are in the area, you should check these guys out for any other accessories, armor, parts and hard to find items. Owner and staff actually ride!

Shop Summary:
Good selection of components and bikes, as well as some protective gear for all you crazy freeriders out there. They have a couple of excellent mechanics, though in the past they have been slow on repairs & warranty work (not sure this is as much of a problem anymore). Go see what novelty item is Lehr's get-rich-quick scheme of the week (hee hee).

Customer Service:
They do a good job of coming out and finding out what you need. Be prepared to be firm if what they suggest doesn't quite match what you're looking for, as the owner tends to push a little. Make sure you go when you're not in too big of a hurry as you'll usually end up talking bikes with the friendly & knowledgeable staff for 15 or 20 minutes.
