Shop Summary:
I'm not an avid cyclist - I'm very much a beginner/commuter. Bikesmiths seemed like the kind of place that serves every type of cyclist, whether you're a pro downhill racer, mountain enthusiast, or just want to "go green" and ride to work (like me)! I bought a very nice new hybrid bike for $230 and it is the perfect fit for me. The guy who helped me was extremely knowledgeable, didn't pressure me to spend more than I wanted, and helped me choose accessories that fit my lifestyle. I am extremely pleased with Bikesmiths and plan to go back!

Customer Service:
Excellent service! I felt like the selection was terrific and everyone was very friendly.

Other Comments:
They close at 6pm!

Shop Summary:
bikesmiths has always treated me well. their prices seem to be the lowest in town as far as accessories go. usually have a ton of bikes in stock to drool at. got a really good deal on a caad9 that was on sale. seem to stock stuff for all riders of any type.

Customer Service:
always had quick turn around on repairs. have had a wheelset buit and plenty of tune ups over the years. staff is friendly and definetely knows their bike stuff. they are always happy to special order parts that they don't have in stock with no extra charge.

Other Comments:
go here if you want some of the best service in town.

Shop Summary:
I bought my first full suspension rig at this shop and was quite happy with it for the duration of it's use. I was, however, never impressed with the service. When inquiring about parts not in stock over the phone I got "why don't you call back later this afternoon", later that afternoon I still had no answer to pricing or availability. This sort of thing happened on a number of occasions. I went somewhere else instead. Most of the shop employees are friendly and helpful, but there is one particular person there who just rubs me the wrong way and I have a feeling, there is no firing him. I felt like I was being judged the whole time, and when looking for a commuter bike I felt like I was being oversold. I rarely go into this shop anymore having sold the bike I originally bought from them.

Customer Service:
Employees are generally friendly. Pro-active parts sales/research doesn't so much exist. I thought bike shops were supposed to be helpful. The last time I visited the shop in search of a new bicycle I left feeling so insulted that I will never buy a bike from them again.

Other Comments:
I would say this is an average bike shop. If you like the brands they sell, go there. They may be able to help you if you have warranty issues.

Shop Summary:
Bikesmiths Bike Shop is an outstanding bike shop with amazing customer service. I bought my Cannondale Road Bike there and if I ever have a question they are always willing to help me out. They did a free bike fitting and tune up, and have ordered a variety of things for me on a moments request.

There are a lot of good bike shops in Bloomington and knowing this, I would still rate Bikesmiths as the top in repair and customer service. They also have a wide variety of cycling needs for every type of cyclist.

If you ever need anything related to cycling, you must go to Bikesmiths.

Customer Service:
As I mentioned above, very good! Also the most knowledgeable and friendly!
