Shop Summary:
Only get to Indy every few years due to living in Okinawa, Japan. Reason for visit to Grey Goat was to upgrade my 9 year old’s Kona Makena, time to move up to a bigger bike. As I stated above, living in Japan you kind of forget the comforts the states provide. Grey Goat was spacious and well laid out, affording a very pleasant shopping experience. Our true bike shops here are usually the size of a small bathroom with everything just crammed everywhere.

Customer Service:
Staff was very helpful in deciding on wheel size (24 vs 26) providing the pros/cons of each. Settled on a Trek 3700 due to the fact that it should last him about 3 years before he out grows the frame. Added bonus, he thinks it’s cool to have a 26 just like Dad’s XCR-LE. Staff tuned it up and we were out the door. Returned 3 weeks later to have them pack it for the flight back to Japan and it traveled great, arriving unblemished. Can’t speak for long term/return service but next time I’m in town, this shop is where I’ll go for any cycling needs.

Shop Summary:
Awesome place to go and get high-end bikes and accessorie. They have a womens section which is nice, they have high-end accessories for women as well!

The guys know their stuff. Its good mix of guys with all riding styles. Your not a customer, your a fellow guy or girl that loves to ride bikes. Seems like there is always somewhere there to give a helping hand the moment I have a question.

Customer Service:
Unlike other stores on the southside, Gray Goat is there to help you enjoy riding your bike. Whether you are 5 years old and taking your first pedal stroke, or a serious racer. Gray Goat Sports has the nicest people who just love what they do.

Other Comments:
Oh yeah, there is this one employee there with the coolest red hair and mustache. He knows his stuff. He is always there and is busting around working hard. He is the knows it all, fitness, running, and Bikes. Think his name is Jay C or something.

Reward yourself, go to Gray Goat Sports!

Shop Summary:
The Goat is an awesome place to go and get high-end accessories in a real brick and mortar store. For example with tires they have things like trainer tires, all colors of vittoria open corsa tires, all kinds of specialized s-works tires, and others you'd be hard pressed to find under one real roof.

They have a womens section which is nice, they have high-end shoes (cycling and running), just a lot of eye candy all around. They are also a Specialized demo store, so you can check out the newest whatever.

They just have stuff, the things you see other shops having one of, like carbon water bottle cages, they have a rack of different kinds, also they have tons of saddles and a million different types of pedals.

Customer Service:
The guys know their crap, i guess some are old BMX pros, and some are serious road riders. Its good to have a mix like that. I always get the feel of "one of the guys" when im in there, unlike some shops where you are one of the customers.

Other Comments:
Bikes are easy to get to, good rack system. Good displays, lots of point of purchase stuff. Never seems understaffed.

Shop Summary:
Very nice store, extremely clean and spacious. It's a little hard to get to if you are south-bound as there is no entrance, save for the north-bound side of the road. They carry Trek and Specialized Moutain bikes which is nice. I could do without Bianchi all together, or any Specialized road bike. (just my opinion) Everything kinda funnels into one area, and like I said they have a big, clean shop, so if it were me, I would spread things out a bit.

Customer Service:
There is an older dude there who is great. He must be the manager. I went in looking for a pair of running shoes, and he told me when their shoe-fitter guy would be back in. Thought that was pretty cool (I mean who has a shoe-fitter guy). The next time I was in some kid just shrugged me off. I don't get that, but I went back and the guy who runs the place helped me pick out a pair of gloves. 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

Other Comments:
This is not my favorite shop, but it's the second place I'll go to look for cycling supplies. The people here are always friendly. Even when I got shrugged off the kid was polite. I guess he had better things to do in the back.

Shop Summary:
Best shop in Indy! The main guys really know their stuff and the part timers are very helpful. They have a good selection of bikes from low end to upscale and will give you their honest opinion of something. If it doesn't work, they'll tell you instead of just taking the sale. The clothing selection is a little light and they don't carry every high end bike in every size but this isn't a big deal.

Customer Service:
Extremely helpful. They were the only shop that was willing to take the time to do a real fitting and explain the pros and cons of various components and materials. They have been willing to teach and don't get upset if you take a good deal online. Also, no additional charge for special orders like BGI.

Other Comments:
If you want someone to take care of you and not treat you like a transaction, go here. They know their stuff and they actually ride.
