I visit this shop: Once a year

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: Over the years I've purchased a few bikes from them. Nice people, but they've put me on bikes that don't fit me. Lately brought a bike to them I had gotten off Ebay and the previous owner had installed an incorrect headset. Had to reassemble the bike so thought I'd have bike country do that and give it the once over. They couldn't get it back together because the headset was the incorrect size (this was true). Prioblem is, rather than measure and do a little research to determine what headset it needed (bike is an 05 GT Avalanche) they told me they couldn't buy the part and GT made the headset for the bike (which I knew was a load of crap). After some research after I picked the bike up (a two minute phone call to pacific cylces who bought out GT) I determined the correct headset was a zero stack (like a cane creek zs-6 or similar) you can get anywhere. Pretty sad that they coudn't figure it out themselves. I've bought enough from them I figured they'd work on it and get it figured out for me. Instead they washed their hands of it and charged me $15 to cobble it together with the incorrect headset after I told them I'd just pick it up. Owners are nice people, but I'm not sure how competent their mechanics are are unless it's a very simple repair on bike brands that they sell. End of it all was I bought the headset online for $33 and had another shop in town press in the new cups and install the cane creek headset for $20 (Kyle's bikes). Customer Service: Owners are helpful and very nice, but be careful they don't get you on a bike that doesn't fit you.
