Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: Don't be fooled by the shop being in Pittsburg, Kansas...this is a premiere bike shop. Roger has forgotten more about bikes and biking than most people will ever know in a lifetime.
Its nothing to go into the shop and see license plates from surrounding states parked outside the shop. Everyone knows this is the place to be. Customer Service: The customer service cannot be beat....Roger he and his staff go above and beyond what is expected as customer service at most shops. If you have questions Roger always has an answer, if you break it they can fix it! Other Comments: I busted up my bike and when I got to the shop Roger, even though he was busy, came over and assessed my damage and before I left parts were ordered and a plan of repair was already made, and I left with the satisfaction of knowing that I and my bike would be taken care of as always is the case.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: Don't let the small town fool you, this is an absolutely Superb shop! Roger loves cycling and his enthusiasm is contagious. Customer Service: Have been to many shops across many states (Texas, PA, Virginia, Kentucky, Kansas), never had better customer service. Roger wants to get the right bike for you, no agendas. The sale, however, is just the beginning. After I purchased an inexpensive hardtail for my first bike, Roger insisted I come riding with him. He is an excellent (and patient) instructor. It is like receiving free unlimited lessons with each purchase. He looks for opportunities to teach new owners how to take care of their bikes. Other Comments: I was in Roger's shop when a bike tour with some complete strangers stopped in with some mechanical problems. Roger worked on their bike for about a half an hour. When he was done, they asked what it cost. Roger refused to accept payment since he didn't put any parts on it. Typical.

Racer Shop Summary: Smallish. Typically lower-end inventory (until you look on the shelve and in the back room). Always looks like they're low on bikes, b/c they've already been sold. Customer Service: Top notch. If you need it, it will be done. I've seen Roger design/engineer/fabricate absolutely custom pieces to fix problems the company should have thought of in the first place, not to mention his AR-15 bike mount for the riding servicemen out there. Other Comments: "Lomshek knows all." You can find it scribed on the maillot jaune from Lemond himself back when they trained together. Roger really does know his stuff. If you've got a problem and it can be fixed, he'll find a way. Don't let the appearance of the shop fool you. Just because there's not always a lot of stock on the floor, and most of it entry level, is no indicator of the service you'll receive. Tailwind Cyclists is as high end as they come. When my Fisher dealer here in St Louis had to order bushing for my 2000 Sugar, and they overcharged me for it, Roger had them in stock for a pittance.
When it came time for a new ride, rather than going to my sponsor shop here in STL, I drove the five hours back to kansas to buy it from Roger. It was worth it.
