Racer Shop Summary: i read the above review and decided to post a fair review. 1st- nobody rides BMX. that is why you can't find what you need. 2nd-online is ALWAYS cheaper. the price there are fair market value. most bike shops do offer discounts to local riders affiliated with bike clubs. start a BMX bike club and you can probably get a discount as well. only problem is, nobody will join bc, as mentioned above, nobody rides BMX. i live in a city with 4 bikes shop. they all have strengths and weaknesses. capital is a typical bike shop that can get you what you need. the owner is always willing to bargain with loyal customers and help pass on discounts from the manufacturer to the customer during closeout season.
Customer Service: average. good mechanics. knowledgable staff that actually ride bikes (not BMX though. c
Other Comments: typcial bike shop, inventory varies depending on economy. friendly and non-bike snobbish.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: Large store, but inventory isn't too heavy. In-stock parts and apparel selection is poor, even for basic items. Pricing is on the higher end. Customer Service: Customer service seems good (from my observations) if you are buying a bike off the floor. If you are looking for parts, repair, etc., this shop is terrible. I left my bike there (like an idiot) for a month and a half, calling weekly after two weeks......finally I went up there and they hadn't even ordered the parts they needed to fix it....I took it to my favorite shop and they fixed it SAME DAY.
EVERY time I call their shop looking for ANYTHING, they don't have it in stock, would need to order it, and are more expensive than most of the online dealers....so, why would I NOT order it myself to my doorstep cheaper.
I have had a 20" BMX race wheel trued there, dish was off over 1/8". No seatposts in stock in my size (standard size)...othertimes offered to sell me parts from the drawer (discards of new bikes...swapped parts) at full MSRP........then they run to the back to see if they can sweeten the deal when you walk out on them....what BS.
I'll never go back again, total waste of time, even for the smallest of things (riding socks or innertubes). Other Comments: People who are friends with the staff/owner say you can get better pricing if you join the local riding club....Small town, sad this is all we have here...........
