Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: This is a small shop in winthrop. Soon to be expanding into the front part of the building. One thing that wont change is the bikers bike shop feel. Hanging around the shop are a variety of bikes that make you drool and make you wonder how much faster you could be on one of these sweet rides. There is not a huge amount of stock in shiny spare parts but thats fine because Tom will order you whatever you want and even look through his distributers books with you to help you find the best product for your needs. As far as the " Feel " of the shop things like vintage wooden rimmed wheels and an original ski bike are just a few of the treasures that are hanging around the shop. A real retreat for bike geeks like myself . I dont generally go to bike shops for technical issues because I have 5 years of experiance working in a busy bike shop outside of DC , but when i do have questions Tom is the first and probably only person I would go to for advice. He seems to know whats what and if there is something he is not sure of he wont bs you about like many shops he will work with you to find the answers. Customer Service: As good as it gets.Knowledgable helpful and friendly. Other Comments: I highly recommed this shop for anyone who loves bikes. If you are looking for a new bike tom definetily carries the nicect stuff around . Racers downhillers this is the place to go to get what you want almost always for less than you could find it elsewhere and more importantly for all thos little adjustment and component tweaks neccessary for and precicion machine.
Not a bike geek or hardcore. No problem Tom seems to be able to communicate with normal people well also(SOmething alot of long term bike industry people struggle with)and it would be a waste not to stop in and poke his brain a little.
