Shop Summary:
This shop is great. FBS offers something to fit every cyclists taste. Be it road, cyclo,xc,dh,dirtjump, single speeds and fixies to your upright touring comfort bikes, they have it all. When I visited last they had in the neighborhood of 60 bikes built and on the sales floor available for immediate test rides and/or purchase.

They offer full service repairs from shock rebuilds to hand laced one off wheel building. Unlike most other area shops, the service rates are clearly posted above the pit area on neatly organized "menus"

Customer Service:
I felt like I had walked in to a relatives home when I visited the shop for the first time. There were at least two different groups of customers in the shop yet Jonathan (owner) stopped his conversation to greet me as soon as I crossed the threshold. I can't tell you how many times I've been into a Bike Doctor without anyone even making eye contact with me, let alone greeting me in the midst of doing what seemed like 13 other things at once. The bottom line here is that at Family Bike shop you really are treated like family. It's good vibes at all times, the live XM radio feed and flat screen tv playing loops of all types of riding definitely doesn't damage the atmosphere either.

Other Comments:
If you want it, need it fixed, or are just looking for sound unbiased opinions stop through. It's overly clear that these guys aren't in business to make a quick buck of you and snub you for the next paying customer. Props to Jonathan and the rest of the staff at Family Bike Shop.
