Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels)
that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your
customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML
code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»

There are bikes everywhere – on the left, right, on the walls and even hanging from the ceiling.
Bob Polakowski, owner of BIKEWORKS in Swansea, estimates he has more than 250 bicycles in his shop at the moment, from children’s models to others close to what cycling marvel Lance Armstrong rides.
The store – opened for 11 years and owned by Bob since 2000 – has turned into a haven for cycling enthusiasts in this area. It supplies locals with all cycling-related accessories imaginable, from hydration backpacks with drinking tubes and gel-textured nutritional supplements to sunglasses, helmets and jerseys from cycling teams around the world. The shop also offers skateboards for kids, freestyle and dirt jumping bikes and bicycle child seats.
“We run a really honest, honest business here,” Bob said. “None of these guys would tell anyone that they needed something they didn’t. They have learned from me that the first lie you tell a customer will be the last time you see him.”
Behind a wall packed with pictures of Lance Armstrong and cycling paraphernalia, a service area holds bikes of all brands and sizes, which are brought in for all kinds of repairs.

Shop Summary: The shop is fine, they seem to have an abundance of choices for the weekend cyclist, like me, to more enthusiastic riders.
Customer Service: My customer experience here was awful. I went into the store on a quiet day, and there were no other customers waiting. I wanted to try a couple of single speed bikes in the 600 to 800 dollar range.
The salesperson was friendly, but not attentive to my needs ,wants, and couldn't answer my simple questions. I wanted to test ride a bike, told him i needed the seat adjusted, and he couldn't bother to get a wrench so I could try out this bike at the proper height. It seems that some bike places are willing to put you into whatever size bike is on the showroom floor. Apparently, they didn't want or need my patronage.
Other Comments: I have been to 3 bike shops so far, and i haven't encountered this issue at the other shops. They can have my business.

Shop Summary: I am currently looking for a lbs that has pretty much everything i need. I have been to a few, and by far Bikeworks is the best. I went there about a week before x-mas. They are my choice for my needs. Honestly my bike was built by me, from parts sourced online. Other than the frame (fetish) I will be buying most if not all my parts from them. I dealt with Bob, and he was the most pleasent, no pressure, very friendly, saw my needs, and helped me with what i needed/wanted.
Customer Service: Once again top notch. I havent found any better!
Other Comments: Like I stated above, I will be heading there for my needs from now on!

Shop Summary: Bob at BikeWorks is best described as a friendly, knowledgeable, and honest person. Bob will take his time to explain any questions that a newby or experienced cyclist may have. His experience and knowledge stems from years of racing and riding bikes as well as working at bike shops.
He does not discriminate from providing help and service to people that purchased a product from other stores. Bob has serviced my mountain bikes even though they were not purchased there.
BikeWorks has been crucial in supporting local cycling in the area. Group rides are available from the store on Saturday mornings catering to 3 different levels of riders.
BikeWorks helps to sponsor and support the local Swansea Velo Club in which Bob is in charge of. Within the club there are riders of all different levels and interests ranging from Cat 2 road racers to crosscountry mountain biking to triathletes.
Customer Service: Costumer service is provided by a knowledgeable staff which one is always greeted in a welcoming and inviting manner. Turn around time is quick and the work quality is 2nd to none. A promised turn around time is provided and has never been broken to me.
