Shop Summary:
Walt's has always been an awesome shop for me. I bought my first bike there in 1999 and they have always provided me with the parts and service that I needed to keep my Trek 6000 running in top order. They have a great selection of parts and although they prices are a little high, they sell mainly high quality gear that's worth the price.

Customer Service:
I have routinely taken my bike in for service. The techs have never once suggested a repair or service that was not needed and have always gone out of there way to repair rather than replace. The are friendly and quick.

Other Comments:
As mentioned in another review, when you buy a bike at Walt's, you get free labour for life. After taking in a bike that had been in storage for years, they tuned it up and it came out like new for just the cost of new front brake pads.

Shop Summary:
Good selection of bikes. Bad selection of accessories. Unless you want a flippin water bottle. All theyre stuff is expensive. There is no way I am paying a hundred bucks for tight warm pants.
Good selection of camping and outdoor stuff, but its very expensive, and theyre is a huge bass pro with a better selection of camping/outdoor gear right on 63.

Customer Service:
Besides feeling like they were all high school students, they were nice enough and willing to talk. Good at making up excuses of why they only have two of something and they are both for girls.

Other Comments:
Better if you ride road bike, no good for mountain, unless your buying a whole new set up, dont waste your time.

Shop Summary:
Very friendly, knowledgable staff. I've been to bike shops in town with employees who have little knowledge about bikes (mostly just sales people w/ moderate training). But the majority of Walt's staff seem to be bike/outdoor enthusiasts who really know their stuff.

Customer Service:
Customer service is above average from what I've seen when compared to other local shops. They work with you to help you get the bike/parts you want, not just what they feel like selling you.

If you buy a bike from them, they will give you free lifetime labor. The same policy goes for parts you purchase from them. I bought wheels from them, then had them re-laced with lighter spokes--which I also purchased there--years later. Labor was free.

Returns are hassle free. And most of the staff will remember your name. Great shop with hometown feel.

Other Comments:
No one is perfect:

Weekend store hours suck. I wish they were open at least a couple hours later each night.

Innertube selection is also pretty limited, mostly to average types/brands. If you want ultra-lites or downhill tubes, buy online.

I've personally witnessed the shop crew lose parts that came in with owners' bikes. However, the store made good and gave free parts to make up for their mistake.

Shop Summary:
Nice group of guys who really got me excited about 29ers and racing.

Customer Service:
I ahd one on the guys build-up a pair of race wheels for me after spending a lot of time researching different hubs and rims. These guys really took the time to make sure I got exactly what I needed.

Other Comments:
Not only a great bike store but Walt's also has a great sellection of outdoor gear with a knowledgeable staff to answer any quetions.
