Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: My wife and I were traveling from Boise to Billings. We stayed the weekend in Bozeman with friends. My wife's new Giant Reign needed the hydraulic brake lines shortened, so I called Chalet to see if they could get the bike in on Sunday and get the work done the same day because we were leaving on Monday morning for Billings. They said no problem and they had the necessary fittings to shorten the lines.
I got a call after a couple hours from Ryan saying that both the front and rear brake pads were quite worn and needed replacing. I told Ryan that I just put BRAND NEW pads in on Wednesday and they had never been ridden before! Trying to sell me $40 in brake pads when the existing pads were brand new. STRIKE 1
I pick up the bike and brake lever reach was set all of the way out. My wife is petite, so I had them adjusted all of the way in when I dropped off the bike. Not a huge deal, I just had them adjust the levers before I left. Just irritating that their attention to detail was so poor.
The brake felt fine when I picked it up, so we left for Billings. We rode in Billings one day. The next day the rear brake is completely dead and the lever goes back to the grip. There is oil leaking from the compression fitting at the lever. STRIKE 2
While I'm looking over the bike, I notice that 2 of the screws on my fork thru-axle are gone. There are normally 2 bolts per side, and they only had replaced 1 bolt per side when they removed the front wheel. STRIKE 3
I get back to Boise, pay another shop $25 to fix the work that they screwed up in the first place.
I will never, ever, recommend this shop to anyone. My friend that lives in Bozeman has vowed never to support this shop again.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: We have been into chalet sports several times to purchase new equipment and set-up for our new vehicle...We can never get anyone to help us...the gals at the counter are always to busy with there own private conversations along with the gentleman at the back of the store...They seem to have enough staff and typically us and maybe 1 or 2 other customers, who usually walk out for the same reasons!...can't rate technical Knowledge, yet to be able to get anyone to help us.....So, we went to the Round House and purchased a Yakima Roof System and Bike Hitch Receiver (Holds 4 Bikes), Roof Carrier, and currently are looking to purchase the Chariot and Two adult bikes...By the way we pay in cash..Yes, we are a large family and maybe that has detoured them from helping us....hopefully, in the future they will see that by helping they may make a profit!!!!

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: Good shop! They have always served me well. Customer Service: They seem happy to help and answer questions. They let you ride a bike whenever too! Other Comments: They really don't have much in the winter so other shops in town will be better to go to if you are working on your bike in the off season.

Downhiller Shop Summary: Basically this is the best shop ever. These guys know the most about every bike part and every bike issue in the world. They carry some sick lines like Felt bikes and custom Electra cruisers. Also the new Fisher hifi's and new Giant reigns will be there early next season. Customer Service: Best customer service in town. If you need a part they'll get it for you with no extra charge. They do all of their work quick and with attention to detail. These guys treat your bike like it's their own. They're always happy to answer any questions or give opinions on riding styles. A lot of the shop guys ride year round, rain or shine, awesome dedication.
