Bike Shop Owners! We have a new feature we call the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150x58 pixels) that displays your shop's rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your website and it allows all your customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you. Just cut and paste the HTML code found in the Rating Badge section of your review page. More details about the Rating Badge here»
Monkey Wrench Cycles

Very much a service oriented shop. They are very into the 29er movement, have contacts with numerous custom steel and ti builders they can hook you up with, carry quite a few 29ers, singlespeeds, and cx bikes. They build good wheels and are super helpful, very good wrenches. A niche type shop really, but a really good one.

Shop Summary:
Great Shop, I've been going there for everything I need for a couple of years now. I ride everyday whether that be commuting, or hopping of things, or hitting the trails. The best part about MWC is the fact is that the owners are the employees. If they know you ride everyday they give you a great price of virtually everything, unlike a shop with a lot of employees that can't give you the prices you deserve as an everyday cyclist.

Customer Service:
Great service, quick turn around and quality work. They are willing to show you how to do things behind the counter. If they recognize you they might even get it done for you right away instead of later.

Other Comments:
Go to Monkey Wrench Cycles, support completely local business.

Shop Summary:
These guys definitely know there stuff, things have only gotten better since day one. I first stepped foot in the door there back in may of 2004 cause i wanted to find a new shop to deal with and a friend of mine lived with the owner of the shop. Its not the biggest shop in town but there is a wide variety of brands and styles of bikes to pick from. If its not on the floor for a test ride, they can have one in about a week. If you are looking for more of a custom frame build you can pick from a few great bike builders; Steve Potts, Moots and Rick Hunter.

Customer Service:
There is only 2 employees working at the shop, Nate and Eric have worked together for over 15 years at another shop in town, so when it comes to fixing that darn creek in a junker bike or building a custom titanium bike, they can get it done.

Other Comments:
If you have time to stop by the shop ask about the vintage bikes up on the wall, some are one of a kind bikes that you will only see in the monkey wrench or at a museum somewhere else. Well done Nate and Eric.

Shop Summary:
This shop is fantastic. They are very into 29ers and SS, which I am also very in to. Fantastic wrenches, build the sweetest wheels I've ever seen, are very involved in the local cycling community and building it up. Some of the most helpful guys around, and great to ride with too. Check them out if you're even in Lincoln.

Customer Service:
Fantastic. They'll do you right, no matter what. Nuff said.

Other Comments:
Their weekly shop ride is the best around.
