Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: Owner operated with help from service manager sidekick. Small shop, but has a nice inventory of road and mountain bikes, components and gear. Prices are on the high side, though there are discounts on left over bikes. Strange weekend hours; i.e. not open until 12 on sunday. Customer Service: They are not known for their customer service. When I was spending close to $4k on a bike, they were my best friends. But whenever I've gone back to take advantage of my lifetime adjustments, I always seem to get an attitude. Though very knowledge, they are not very keen on educating their customers unless you are spending money. Other Comments: I would give other bike shops a try in the future; i.e. Plant Bike, maybe even Kim's Bike Shop if I am desperate.

Cross Country Rider Shop Summary: This shop has a great selection of high-end Specialized and Cannondales with some low-end Specialized mixed in. If you stop in you will almost always be greeted by Gary the owner who is willing to help you find a bike for your budget and teach you what you need to know about the bikes to make an informed decision. I went in to buy my first real mtb and told him my specific needs and he showed me a range of bikes that would meet those needs from a low-end Specialized up to a mid-range Cannondale. He did not pressure me at all to buy in the high-end or even push me toward the mid-range. He gave me the information I needed to make an educated decision. I ended up buying a previous years Cannondale model, which he offered a great discount on. He also provided me with plenty of information on local trails. The shop provides free tune-ups for life and he actually prefers you come in often so that its easier to maintain the bike rather than fix a lot of problems at once. I went to other bike shops in the area where I was greeted by high school kids that rode bmx. I'll never use another shop again. It may not be the cheapest shop, but I honestly didn't even bother to compare because the service here was excellent and worth anything I might have paid extra, not to mention the free tune-ups. Customer Service: Second to none. Walk in anytime with your bike and they'll tune it up. You deal directly with Gary, the owner, who is a great guy to deal with. A very "mom and pop" or "local" feel to the store not looking to pressure you or give you the run-around. Other Comments: I highly recommend this shop and will continue to use them.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: Just got my first "real" mountain bike from Bike N Gear. I got the base line Rockhopper with the intention of upgrading the components down the line. The salesperson was honest about the components on the bike (i got) and gave me a real good perspective on what i am buying and didnt pressure me to buy the upgraded model. He was very knowledgeble about everything he spoke of and it conincided with everything i've read on this site about the frame and comps. Overall great experience and friendly service. Also, you get free tune ups for life. Customer Service: great, honest, no BS, and not pushy at all. Other Comments: told me where to ride and was an overall good experience.

Weekend Warrior Shop Summary: Good local shop with plenty of high end stuff to keep you busy. Gary is nice to talk to, but currently he's not there due to health issues. Plenty of bikes for such a small shop, and they even have more stuff in the basement. You can pretty much get any thing here and if not they can order for you relatively quickly. Customer Service: OK customer service, if you are looking for small / low cost parts, you usually don't get much attention. Larger more costly parts will get you more attention and service. Other Comments: Price tends to be on the high side, as usual for LBS. I tends to buy stuff from there only if I really need it immediately.
