Shop Summary:
small shop, lots of great bikes, lots of knowledge, cool vibe, it's what a bike shop should be.

Customer Service:
customer service is outstanding. i was just passing through and stopped in, the three guys working each greeted me and made me feel welcome, but weren't all pressure or salesman-y. i talked with Dan, the owner, about trails in the area, and he was super helpful.

Other Comments:
like i said, i was passing through and just stopped in, but if i go back to the area to ride, i will most definitely stop in. They are a great little shop and if you are riding in the area, go there and support them.

Shop Summary:
This shop is a small boutique that stocks bikes from Maverick, Commencal, Giant, Lynskey (sp?), Transition, and Tomac. There is a selection of road and cross bikes and parts available, in addition to mountain and gravity bike stuff. It seems every detail is covered - New Mexico-worthy tires, wheels, framesets, forks (even dual-crown), brakes, helmets, etc. They carry mid-level hardtails and city bikes as well. Plenty of hydration and nutrition options, including beer (which is both at once). Well organized.

Customer Service:
The guys that own this shop have fantastic technical knowledge of the products they carry and are very good at explaining details to customers in a way that is accurate and not condescending. Their expertise really can't be overstated; this is the shop to take your big time problems, have a shock rebuilt, fix a rear hub, etc. I have worked at bike shops and can be very critical of bad ones - in this case I am very impressed.

Other Comments:
This shop also appears to have a very good relationship with distributors and customers, which makes everybody happier and gets customer needs addressed in real time. This is, without a doubt, the best boutique
mountain bike shop I have been to. Pretty nice guys, too. I am not a big ticket customer and still feel appreciated.

Shop Summary:
Quality bikes and components. Not the widest selection, but can get anything you need within a short period of time.

They have even sent me to the competition for what I needed.

Great relaxed atmosphere. No pressure (I can see how some people in a hurry may construe it as overly lax). And they always have good beer on tap !!!!!

Customer Service:
The most knowledgeable wrenches in ABQ !

They always point you in the right direction without trying to pressure you into something you don't need.

They rebuilt my fork over 9 months and it's been perfect. Had a rear wheel rebult 6 months ago and have yet to make any adjustments to it.

Other Comments:
This shop should be at the top of your list in Albuquerque.

Shop Summary:
This is everything a shop should be - before it goes corporate. They continually add new lines, parts and gear; all designed around the customer. Check out their website for the latest products and reviews or to catch up on where they are riding/racing next.

Customer Service:
Great service from all four owners. Tony, Dan, Dan and Charlie have built two perfect custom bikes for me. And have helped many friends with their own bikes needs.

Other Comments:
If you are looking for quality bikes from people who know their craft, stop in. The guys at Bikeworks always have the time to point me in the right direction. Whether it be local trails, races or bike maintenance - they know their stuff and are willing to share.

Quit reading this and go see for yourself.

Shop Summary:
Not the biggest inventory in town, but can and will get anything you want/need in a very timely manner. Great location and there is always something going on there cycling related ie. talk, drink, videos and BIKES!!

Customer Service:
Dan is one of the best wrenches and fork and shock experts around, he rebuilt my Foxes the same day and did not need to send out to PUSH; Danny is also one of the best wrenches and can build an awesome wheel, he has built a road set and rebuilt a mt. bike set and both are strong, light and true; Tony is also an awesome wrench and was the only guy in Albq. for a very long time that would and could work on Chris King hubs and Santa Cruz bikes. They all will give free advice and "no question is a dumb question" attitude.

Other Comments:
It is really unfortunate (kss, other post)that your one and only visit for business at the shop was not to your satisfaction. Don't allow your sensitive ego to be the total judge of this shop.
These guys not only wrenches and talk the talk they walk the walk. They race almost every weekend and some, sponser events,ie. Gallup, local races and racers and are always willing to lead a group ride anywhere, road or mt. bike.
They love to entertain at their shop and when you have young, fit, fun, knowlegeable and many women will agree, good looking guys working and "hanging out" it makes for a pretty good shop. I come in from SF because I know I will ALWAYS get great, honest and timely service at Bikeworks. Sorry for your one unfortunate visit, give them another shot, you will have a change of mind. And if not for service, go in and drink their beer and say you at least got a beer out of them.
